Welcome to Changewater United Methodist Church, a warm and welcoming place of worship located at 180 Musconetcong River Road, Glen Gardner, New Jersey. We are a vibrant community dedicated to spiritual growth, fellowship, and service, and we are thrilled to introduce our new pastor, Pastor Sam Choi.

Pastor Sam brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to our congregation. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, he has an impressive background in academia and industry, having served as a Professor and Head Researcher. His journey led him to explore the profound questions of life, prompting him to pursue theological studies at Drew Theological School, where he graduated in 2010. He was ordained in 2014 and has since served various congregations, including Mendham UMC and Morristown Korean UMC, as well as taking on the role of circuit elder in the Skylands District.

Pastor Sam is known for his innovative approach to ministry, seeking creative and effective ways to share the Gospel with people from all walks of life. He has authored and translated several books on computers, advanced technologies, and science for children and young adults, bridging the gap between faith and science.

At Changewater United Methodist Church, Pastor Sam is committed to fostering a community where the transforming power of the Holy Spirit is experienced, and God's love is shared. Alongside his wife, Kathy, and their two sons, Kevin and Hyunmin, Pastor Sam is eager to embark on this new chapter with us.
