This past weekend (6/22-6/23) at their 40th Anniveraary event, I was able to meet the owners and family, and many of their warehouse staff. Great people all around! "There is a huge scam on Facebook these days. Fake ads are all over the place, offering impossibly good deals on things and pretending to be MegaHobby. I called the real MegaHobby and discovered the scam. They were helpful and friendly. I used to drive an 18-wheeler around the country, and I had the pleasure of once visiting this store. It was amazing. The selection of stuff they had was mind blowing. They have stuff you just can't find anymore or anywhere else. I will shop their website fairly regularly in the future. You should too! Just make sure it's the real one."
"The go to place in all of South Jersey for every hobby you can think of. Friendly service. Plenty of parking. Prices are a little high but comparable to online with shipping prices. If I can't wait for model supplies this is where I go."
"So good to see a decent, large hobby shop selling plastic kits of all sizes, planes, ships, tanks...and trains of every gauge...and complete range of different paint, and modeling tools... The problem is to leave without spending a large sum of money...but if you did bring your credit card... Great staff as well."
"Made one purchase recently and will not make another!! I made the mistake of outright purchasing items and overpaying without shopping around due to needing the items quickly, and Mega hobby being the closest to my home. Don't make the same mistake that I did!! Out of curiosity I went to the site to see what a 1/24 model car kit that I had been looking for would cost shipped to me versus buying it from Ebay. Mega Hobby's total shipped to me would have been $110.11, purchased off of Ebay I got it for $55.98 shipped. Absolutely insane!! And on top of that had I spent $5.51 more Mega would have given me free shipping, OH JOY!! They need to really go back to the drawing board in terms of having competitive pricing because they are getting blown out of the water, not just by Ebay, but by many other online hobby shops."
