"My husband and I were regular customers to the Hill Top Deli. They have recently been taken over by a new owner. It’s now Brunos Hill Top Deli. This afternoon we decided to give it a chance, we were surprised to find not much to be the same. No fresh salads, changed the way the sandwiches are made,(decent sandwich nothing to write home about ) . When we were finishing our lunch around 4:03 a rude lady came to our table and said you know we close at 4pm right!?! I preceded to the register to pay for our food and waited there for 5 min. When the man was ringing up the food he was trying to justify why the prices he was ringing was different than the advertised price on the menu board. I question this just asking to pay what was advertised. As I was speaking with the man the same rude women came up and asked if there was a problem. I said not really just want to pay what you have advertised. She tried to state that it was tax, when the tax was clearly listed on the screen. She then said if we didn't like it to just leave, which we did and we will never be back."

"What a gem this place is! The staff is just so friendly that it makes you want to come back for that alone. I tried the Italian sub and it was fresh and delicious. The brocolli and cheese soup was thick and not too salty. It was more than I could finish. I’ll be back!"

"I can't say enough good things about Hill Top Deli! It’s a truly a local gem. Their food is simply fantastic! Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they've got you covered. Even catering too!! The wonderful owner, Mike, and his staff always make you feel right at home. They truly care about people and making great food to enjoy! Plus, the added bonus of having a lottery is just the cherry on top of an already wonderful experience LOL! If you're ever in High Bridge, or are a local who for some reason has yet to try their food, do yourself a favor and stop by Hill Top Deli. You won't be disappointed!"

"I have been working close for close to two months, and I've been here a few times. The few times that I have been here, I can say that it was quite a homey atmosphere. It felt very comfortable and warm, and smelled delicious! They have more than just subs and deli meats and cheeses. For what it's worth, I did go there for the subs haha. I got a turkey sub with lettuce, onions, mayo, salt, pepper, oil, etc. That was pretty good. I got the whole and it was enough for me for lunch that day and for my girlfriend the next day. I sometimes go for breakfast and the owner is so friendly. The pork roll egg and cheese on a roll is definitely a go too if you didn't have time make breakfast yourself. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. I would post pictures if I had any but I ate everything too fast.."
