About the Business
Welcome to Prospect Cemetery
Located at 501 Prospect Street in the heart of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Prospect Cemetery has been a serene resting place since its establishment in the late 1800s. Nestled just two exits from the Delaware River, and conveniently near the Pocono Medical Center and East Stroudsburg University, our cemetery is surrounded by the tranquil beauty of mountains and dogwood trees.

"There needs to be security measures here, to ensure people aren’t doing things on the grounds they shouldn’t. This is the third time I’ve had someone pop out of the woods while visiting my father, he claimed to be a grounds keeper. Please do something to protect these resting places"
"Customer Service is the worst. This is my 2nd day coming to make arrangements for a burial, no one has been there during business hours yesterday or today. There was another family waiting as well. I want to know who can speak to before I report this to the BBB."
"Trish and Marcelino came to talk to a group I'm in to give information on the services they provide. I met with Trish individually to learn about planning ahead of time. She explained their services and options, answered my questions, and walked me around the cemetery. I liked the available options and cemetery. Trish was very informative, professional, and friendly. Thank you."
"Conditions are horrible and disrespectful to all the families that have trusted their loved ones to them. No weed trimming has been done in a month or more. And there is a grave marker that was moved to bury someone and its still sitting up on blocks. Grass has grown back on the grave, so it's been a month or more."
"It's a very serene atmosphere, I find it cathartic to visit and reflect. There are a few potholes so drive thru carefully, it's a nice place. Well, today is 12/23/19 and I had to stop by the office where I met a delightful older gentleman, unfortunately I was there to report the theft of all the items at my mother's gravesite. I was told that the cemetery is not responsible, so someone stole golden prayer hands ($160) and a golden sunflower ($25) from my mother's grave. BEWARE..."
