"EDIT: The owner, Keri, was out of town for an extended period of time when I had the session I wrote about below. As soon as she returned back, she saw my review and reached out to me. We had a very nice conversation and I could tell she felt bad. Needless to say, she seems like a wonderful business owner who really cared to ask me about my experience. It was not her fault that one of her workers had an attitude! And hopefully now that she is back things will be nice inside again. Because of this effort from her I think it's worth going and trying again. ~~~~ Had a session tonight, and was looking forward to it. I have floated at other businesses and loved all of them. This was a different story. The tanks and the rooms were dirty, there was a roach running through the room before my session, the towels that were provided had brown marks on them (not sure what that would be) but it was just gross. There was one staff member there and he was so rude it was actually off putting. Sighing, slamming down on his keyboard when being asked questions, it was just uncomfortable. It’s strange going somewhere where you are supposed to feel relaxed and soothed and being met with a nasty attitude. Never coming back and not recommending to anyone"
"I came on 5/23 with my best friend (I’m editing my original post to add that 5/23 was a typo, should have said 3/23 as the response indicates - wasn’t an intentional error.). We were looking for time together to process a traumatic event we went through. She got me a gift certificate. We forgot to present it while we were there, in part because we waited nearly 20 minutes for someone to come to the front so we could check out (but no one ever came and we couldn’t find them). Unfortunately when we called back to sort it out, the man my friend spoke to on the phone was kind of rough and told her there was no way we could use the gift card at that point. It felt like we were being met with zero understanding or sympathy. It is what it is, I guess, but honestly don’t think I’m even going to use the gift card to go back. (Also editing to add that we did not leave without paying; as you mentioned, the card was automatically charged, as you also stated. We would never not pay. I also don’t usually leave reviews, disappointed or otherwise, but truly feel hurt by our overall experience… including the reply here. After watching her first baby die and then a second traumatic birth experience, unfortunately some “to-do” list things, including reaching out about the gift card a while after our appointment, fell by the wayside.)"
"Let’s start with the excellent customer service. I called a week prior to when I wanted to visit. The owner answered the phone and we had a nice conversation as she explained all the services they offer (the website has the same information but I’m old school and prefer to speak with a human when booking appointments). On the day of service, Chris greeted us and thoroughly explained the two services that we booked. At the end of the appointment, we chatted more. Chris is amazing and a huge asset to the facility. As for the services, 90 min float and O2 therapy, relaxing!!! My husband and I were visiting Philly and were looking for relaxing ways to kill some time. Floating was a great escape from reality. It felt like I was sinking into a deep abyss (you’re not) and eventually you’re just floating, meditating and breathing. I slept about 60 of the 90 mins. The establishment is clean and quiet. Water, tea and cookies were provided for a quick refuel afterwards. Rating: 10/10"
"I visited Philadelphia with my 2 closest friends and wanted to treat them to something special. Keri the owner was very friendly and explained each session in detail and answered all of our questions. We started off with the flotation session then the sauna and I finished up with the salt booth while my friends enjoyed the oxygen bar. We all enjoyed everything very much and felt so refreshed afterward. Kirti's genuine and warm personality was the icing on the cake. She even helped us find an excellent restaurant right around the corner. If you are visiting Philadelphia and want to pamper yourself Halcyon Floats is the perfect choice!!"
"Had my first salt water float experience here two days ago. Very pleasant experience. The location, rooms and chamber were very clean. Place seemed a little short staffed so no one greeted me for a few minutes but r once they did it was a very quick and easy process. They provided ear plugs, towels, robe, shower slippers and shower gel. I cleaned off then got in the chamber and soaked for 90 minutes. I wish there was a 60 min option as well. The experience was very soothing and calming. If you have dry skin or any cuts use the provided Vaseline. I love that you can select your own music option from a tablet but I opted for silence. Overall very pleasant experience!"
