"Bought a 2012 Honda. Within a few weeks the back brakes and calipers need repair which the owner paid for. Following week car kept trying to stall took it to another mechanic to find the front brakes, pads and rotors were bad, transmission fluid was black, oil had been changed in a long time, spark plugs were bad and the car had not been tuned up for a long time. This cost $700. The original problem was the car kept trying to stall out so no on to another mechanic. By far the worst dealer out there. Buyer beware"
"I purchased a vehicle from this business on 1/13/24 and was provided temporary plates that expire on 2/11/24. It is now 2/9/24 and I still have not received the title, despite calling New Wave Auto multiple times. I called this morning (2/9) and was informed that the title was out for delivery. I did not receive the title in the mail, called back the business, and was finally provided the tracking number after requesting it three times. Upon review of tracking information, the title was NOT out for delivery, as communicated by the manager. I am now stuck with expiring temporary plates, and the manager refused to provide any guidance. Additionally, the check engine line came on within hours of driving the vehicle off of the lot. Please proceed with caution if you choose to do business with New Wave Auto."
"I went to about a dozen different pre owned car dealers in Cumberland County recently looking for a new car. I was pleasantly surprised that most of them were helpful, friendly and honest. There were a few minor exceptions, and one major one, but for the most part it was a positive experience. By far, the best dealer I found was New Wave Auto of Vineland. They were incredibly helpful and had a great selection of cars from which to choose. They helped me choose the perfect car for me and my budget without trying to pressure or upsell me in any way. The next time I am shopping for a used car, New Wave will definitely be my first stop and I highly recommend you check them out before buying your used car elsewhere."
"Brought a 2004 F-150 truck looked great drove nice purchase price was 7k. Drove 2 1/2hours in the rain fell to n love with the truck . Expected some mechanical issue But not structural. Undercarriage has major rust issues New Wave is a Carfax dealership but Rust issue isn’t listed on the Carfax. Their website claims all vehicles are check and repaired for safety of their customers New waves New Way …Tried dealing with Joe up front and all he said they could do was take truck back as a trade not an even swap for another truck on lot or give me back my money…. Went through Better Business but Joe never responded to the inquiry .. Followed that up was the New Jersey consumer Affairs … Again Joe never responds to their inquiry.. truck is not safe to drive and it sits in my driveway for 10 months now…. I have read a few reviews and this rust issue has happened to other customers as well …. Attached a few pics. I would recommend to stay away from New Wave Auto"
"Was in the market for a new-ish truck, I was looking around and came up on a 2002 ford f-150 that new wave was selling. I went to take a look at it and Britney was very welcoming and let me look inside the truck and start it up and make sure it’s all good. This truck all around looked good and didn’t look like it had major issues. (These year f-150 have rust issues on the body but not on the frame). Anyways I decided I wanted to buy the truck, and later that week purchase it. Truck drove great, transmission shifted good and engine sounded great. Now when you’re buying a used car not everything is gonna be perfect, so I knew it needed some work. Since I bought it in august, did front wheel bearing, spark plugs, oil change, rear differential flush, wiper blades, air filter, Pcv valve, and put all new front suspension part. Since I’m a mechanic, got a good discount at my job for half of these parts and did it myself. Overall the truck runs great now, good highway driving, will needs rear brakes soon, and probably by the summer new tire. Have to fix rear main seepage, and also valve cover leaks. Only downside to this purchase was the paper work process for the title and tags, took about 3 months to get in and had to keep asking about it. Other than that, not a bad place to get a car. Will buy here again if I see something that catches my eye."
