"Why do we do it? Us local guides dedicate ourselves tirelessly to holding our instutions accountable to their own standards, only to be mocked and called "lazy", "useless", "frauds". Yet we dont stop. Is it because we are convinced the people may start supporting us when they see the good work we do? No, as most of us have realized a long time ago they never will. Is it too make society better for ourselves and our children? No, as we do not go outside and do not get women. We do it because we believe in something greater, an idea for what humanity should be. Perhaps in reality we will never see these expectations met, but maybe, just maybe, they can exist in our legacy. Are us local guides heroes? Perhaps, but more importantly, we are believers in what humanity aspires too be, and we put in endless hours to hopefully immortalize them through our legacy. Nice park would highly recommend"
