"I had issues with my vehicle, and I went in to visit the Hamilton VW team. I explained what was going on and the requirement for a loaner car. A week before my appointment, I recieved a call and was told a car was available for me, and if I wanted to I could drop the car off now. Little did I know, they were also going to start working on the repairs for my car. The day after dropping the car off, I received the call saying everything was fixed and I was able to get back on the road. The service team was super helpful in explaining everything that they did, and what went wrong in the car."
"This dealership’s service department is easily the worst car experience I have ever had. You are better off taking your vehicle for service anywhere else. There is a reason why so many of its poor reviews are regarding the service department in particular. After having an extremely poor experience with the service department a year ago, I figured it had been enough time since then that perhaps their service had improved, and decided to give them another chance. This was a mistake on my part. I brought in my Volkswagen for basic checkup maintenance/inspection. When scheduling the appointment with the young man at the front desk, I tried to ask him about any loaner cars being available, but he cut me off before I was finished my sentence. He stated that the maintenance shouldn’t take more then 2 hours and that I could pick up the car if need be. I bring the car in, on time, for the scheduled time and date, I drop it off. 4 hours after dropping it off , I show up after having my phone call ignored to check the status. When I show up they haven’t even started on my car yet! Seriously? No update from anyone? What was supposed to be a 2 hour job wasn’t even started in 4 hours? I inform them I need the vehicle back as I was told I could do, and received the keys. When I go to reschedule with Jenny, it turns very unprofessional very quickly. With her phone still playing TV shows on her desk (she at least had the decency to take the ear bud out of her ear), she says I can’t have a loaner car at all because my service “shouldn’t” take more then 2 hours. Of course , it’s laughable at this point. She conveniently then tries to tell me that the service could take all day because I didn’t wait at the dealership. So now you’re informing me after all of this that I CAN’T EXPECT YOU AT THE SCHEDULED TIME AND DATE TO WORK ON MY CAR because I left it with you and didn’t sit at the dealership??? Not one person I spoke with at this dealership thought to tell me this and now it’s suddenly coming out of nowhere that my car was not worked on when we planned on it to be. So unreliable. Jenny goes on to tell me that people who wait at the dealership instead of drop off are prioritized because they are waiting there. Well, I waited too, I’m a paying customer too, I made a scheduled appointment too, and you had twice the time it should have taken. Jenny, you must have never worked with people before because the attitude I received was so awful and smart from her, that I ended up saying let’s not reschedule at all, I’ll take the vehicle elsewhere. All in all, even a simple scheduled maintenance couldn’t be reliably left to these people. I could not in good conscience say you can think your car is safe and reliable after they work on it, after seeing such ridiculous behavior. All they are really proficient in is pulling excuses up like they received training for it. Not a way to make amends or make the customer feel valued or cared about at all. With a large VW dealer price tag on every service. By the way, I believe this dealership is a franchise and the owner independently owns the site, as explained to me by regional VW management. Perhaps this is where the lack of reliability and professionalism start, as the owner probably doesn’t care as long as the sales department does well enough."
"Theres a reason why most people do not enjoy purchasing vehicles nowadays. Whether it's pushy sales people, prices marked over MSRP or just being shady it's all part of the experience with many dealers. I stopped this dealer today with the goal to test drive a new Gold R they have in stock. The receptionist was great asking if I had a contact and once she confirmed I had no contact. She gave me to Steven or Stephen. He started our conversation with asking my DL, phone number and email. No hello, no how can I help. I politely declined and stated I wanted to view the vehicle and if I decided to test drive then I'd be happy to share my DL. Once I viewed the car I offered up my DL and he went back to needing my phone info, email and also a credit application. When I inquired about the app for a test drive he claimed it was standard procedure and needed for insurance purposes. I know a thing or two about buying cars and I know that's simply untrue. When I pushed back on that he attempted to change subject to the vehicles price. Stating all the dealers are charging over MSRP. I advised I wasn't paying over nor giving credit related info for a test drive and I could go elsewhere if that's the case. Ironically I parked my 22 Audi RS3 in the spot next go their Golf R. As I took my DL back and went to get into the car. He realized I'm a qualified buyer. He offered to just take my phone and email. I asked for a GSM or GM I was told no management was available. That's unusual for a car dealership and especially on a Monday afternoon. Disappointed I was genuinely interested and prepared to make a deal. Buyer beware of their over msrp and sales pressure tactics."
"Sohail, the dealer that attend us was amazing, showing us the best options for us. We recommend him to some friends. The credit option for foreigners was the key to decide to buy a VW. We think that this credit program for foreigners is wonderful. Thank yoi VW."
"Hamilton volkswagen service department has declined drastically in the past year. The receptionist are rude on the phone and in person. I made appointment to have my brakes done. I drop my atlas off at 8.15 am ,when I dropped it off I asked what time will the car be done ,Jenni or Ginny say properly around 4.30 or so,ok at 3.30 I get a call from Scott telling me that they overbooked and are to backed up to finish car today, if I can pick up the next day and they Don't have a loaner to give me. NOW THIS IS WHERE THINGS GO FROM BAD TO WORSE. I call them back and ask if car can be dropped off to me since it's my only vehicle and I can't make arrangements to come pick it up. Scott proceed to hym and haul and then says he feels the car won't be done the next day either, that's Saturday look like.I lose it. Then he calls back and say Mrs ROSS BRAKES ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART TO A CAR," AS IF HE WAS SPEAKING TO A 5 YR.OLD .I was so offended with his tone I want to see if he would have said that to a man.the conversation just got worse after that. Mike the manager called tried to save the day but at this point I don't trust them and will be picking up my car tomorrow and taking it elsewhere. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, They are not trust worthy and very unprofessional. No one takes responsibility for their action and blame each other. Making an appointment is pointless if you wait there then probably your car will be done if you drop it off good luck"
