"The owner treated us like royalty. If you're at Urban Axes, go here for all of your alcoholic beverages. He loved us so much, he offered to sell us the joint."
"I live nearby Erica's, so it's a natural place for me to stop by at to pick up a six pack of brew. The place seems to have a healthy equilibrium where they do well on take-out and a few regulars, which means they don't need to aggressively market, which means that they don't become a nuisance bar. Every once in awhile the place will change names - my best guess is that the owner let's some entrepreneur try his hand at running a bar for a bit. This has never turned out well (it becomes a nuisance bar), but also has never lasted long - the owner will kick the manager out and equilibrium returns. The owners are pretty good about cleaning up the sidewalk and maintaining a peace with the neighbors. It's an a-ok place to grab a six-pack or sit in the AC nursing a beer with the neighbor-folk."
