Amtrak Lot

"Absolutely awful experience. Showed up to park here, and there were several windows busted out, glass left in the lot. Absolutely not a safe lot. Drove in and discovered the dangers, turned around and left the lot, was literally in the lot for 5 minutes and was charged the full $10.50. Don't waste your time, money, or safety!"

"My expectations were low on taking the train from St. Louis to Joliet and I was pleasantly impressed with Amtrak. First, the train left on time and arrived 5 minutes ahead of schedule. Amtrak I’m impressed. Second, the coach car we were in was very clean and everything worked. Third, there were electrical outlets at every seat that supported traditional and usb connections. Fourth, very clean bathrooms. We made about 4 stops before arriving in Joliet. If we would have driven our car we would have arrived maybe 15 minutes sooner assuming no slow downs for accidents or construction. It was enjoyable to leave the driving to Amtrak. We parked our car in the convenient secure Amtrak lot that’s a block from the train station. Ultra convenient!"

"This is absolutely ridiculous. The gate was broke, coming somebody had to let us in now we’re sitting here after getting off the train and we can’t get out. Every time I use this lot something stupid like this happens either get an attendant down here, or get the gate fixed. Your charging almost $11 a day for people to park here and we got to sit here for 30+ mins"

"Couldn't get into the lot when we first showed up. Coming back, we were locked in until Amtrak could cut the gate open."

"Gate is still broken. No signs. They give you a flyer inside the station telling you to park elsewhere. Almost as bad as the time the pedestrian gate froze shut in the winter and trapped me inside. I had to jump the icy fence from the guard shack roof with my luggage."
