"Had appeal with hearing officer William early afternoon. He was rude, condescending and dismissive in our conversation. We have parking officers who don't know how to proper tickets and then leave it to us to hearing to agree without a respectful and appropriate hearing."
"Today at 5:12PM, the parking judge or hearing officer William was completely rude and interrupted me every time I was speaking and then hung up the phone abruptly. He would not let me speak, clearly irritated and did not want to be there. He was not in the right headspace and rushing as it was the end of the day. Never dealing with this unorganized and loss of an appeals process."
"I was ticketed when I parked at a location where there is no sign at all. I submitted an appeal, with two photos clearly show no sign, and they denied my appeal, of course, saying that an analyst came to the location and reported a clear sign correctly and completely posted. Don't want to waste more time dealing with them, so I paid $20 for the analyst to see a doctor for their eyes. It is a shame that we are paying taxes to keep this kind of ignorant department trying to fool us and make money on us. You will be punished for the sins you have committed to the community."
"I was sent an email if I wanted to appeal, I would have to appear in person. When I get there, I was told I'd have to appeal via phone (the lady who set it up was very nice and I'd give her 4 stars) but this review is regarding, William, my RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL appeal's interviewer. He already had his mind made up he was not going to invalidate my ticket. The day I got the ticket, I stood in the rain trying to use my card (2 different cards) on the meter, only to add the time (2 hours max = $4) hit ok and be sent back to the beginning to start the process over....3 times...in the rain!! The 4th time, I recorded me trying to pay the meter using my card, and again sent back to the beginning. I couldn't upload the video to the initial appeal or the email because the file was too large, so i was actually looking forward to an in person appeal. As I'm trying to explain, William cuts me off and said, "Yeah, that's what your email said, but it was your card and you should have found a different parking spot!" Umm, it was NOT my card(s) and the meter should have been working properly! I see why phone interviews are preferred...so they (well, William) can talk to you like you have a tail and then hang up on you. How do you cut me off when I'm speaking but expect me not to return the favor when you speak? Needless to say he hung up on me and didn't resolve my issue. I guess this keeps him employed with some type of authority, a potential bonus, and the City robbing people of their hard earned money."
"A nasty, oozing scab on the reputation of the City. I wrote an appeal (must be made within 30 days) to the address on the back of the ticket within a week of it being issued, and received a letter on the 28th elapsed day stating that I had to send a form to the Dept. requesting an appeal. The proceeding 2 days were a Saturday and Sunday, so it was nigh impossible for me to comply thanks their borderline capricious tardiness. As a result, I was unable to appeal, despite already having given the department the text and images of my appeal, and I had to pay double the fine."
