"The vehicle gates were locked, but no signs indicating it's closure. What a pretty park! A newer picnic area, very clean area, and a nice walking path. Got some bass and bluegill within 90 minutes...got 4 bass and 3 bluegill. Maybe its so clean because it remains locked..."
"1045 am on Monday. Gate closed. Online hours says they are suppose to be open."
"This is great for events and family time away from traffic A+,a lake to fish an A++ a nice clean park with a trail for a walk, and won't forget the nice covered pavillion for a small group with 8benches to set up and eat and an additional covered smaller pavillion for set-up. A nice playground for the kiddos.A gem in NorthCounty!"
"1 star due to lack of access.. ever since the construction of the Amazon facility the park has been locked at the gate. i feel like my tax dollars are being wasted. New benches , pavilion etc I just want to know when can we utilize the park we pay for?"
"Mathison/Ramona Lake. The lake has always been a favorite of mine to Catfish at. (Every sense I was a young kid). Opening day. 4/6/2019. How ever really was a big disappointment. As I arrived at Mathison/Ramona Lake. Around 7:45am. It looked as it was going to be a great day of catfishing. A lot of people had shown up parking lot was full of cars eager men and women ready to fish at Ramona Lake like we always have. However go inside to put our name down on the little paper roster. The staff working at morning was very polite very nice pay the $7 to going catch do catfish of the day. set up the polls sit-down reminisce on the memories from the previous years it was a wonderful start of a morning. Until about an hour into the day of fishing. And the staff member drove his car around everybody's wondering why there is nobody getting any kind of bites no catfish biting any kind of bait. The staff member drove his car by talking to everybody around the lake. Everybody he's talking to his asking why the catfish aren't biting come to find out opening day April 6th 2019 Saturday a day we waited for for a couple months since last year fishing season. find out that Ramona Lake had their opening day without stocking any catfish. They open for the season without stocking be like at all from the winter time close up. So opening day Saturday. Of 4/6/2019. Was a complete bust.. The worst opening day of Catfish season ever. .. Can't understand why. City of Berkeley would take your tag payment of $7 per tag.. In witch I paid for 2 tags. $14. Thinking it was going to be a good day of fishing. Without at least tell everyone they hadn't stocked the Lake with Catfish yet this year... Being a Catfish pay Lake. Fisherman at least expect Catfish in the lake. Why City of Berkeley. Would have all us Fisherman pay the fee to fish. At the Catfish pay Lake. Without stocking Catfish in the lake. Is unbelievable."
