Warden Gillis brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles, including his tenure as warden at Adams County Correctional Center and various leadership positions within CoreCivic since 1999.

Wheeler Correctional Facility is proud to have received ACA Accreditation since 2000 and maintains a strong commitment to excellence, as evidenced by our Medical Department's ongoing MAG Accreditation. Our facility is dedicated to providing a safe environment for both staff and inmates, adhering to the standards set forth by the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA).
