"I’m very happy with the care I receive at St. Joseph’s Candler Medical Group of Pembroke. Dr. Hendrix truly cares about his patients and puts in the time to make sure that our health care needs to fall through the cracks. He’s the best primary care physician I’ve ever had, and I trust him to do what is my best interest. There are very few doctors who take the time to call patients after hours to make sure that they have a better understanding of their lab results and why he’s concerned about certain results. I truly appreciate his dedication to my overall wellbeing and care."

"Dr. Hendrix is a very caring Dr. he takes his time to listen and is never in a rush like most he has helped me so much with my health issues and my husband also. My last appointment was with the Nurse Practitioner and she is wonderful caring Nurse also just like Dr Hendrix she takes her time and gets right on any issues that you have. "Let me start off my review with this - I have been going to this office for years and Dr. Hendrix is the best doctor I’ve ever had. He listens to concerns, actually cares, is extremely knowledgeable, and by far one of the best. The office staff are always nice and helpful as well. However this review is based on the experience I had today. I called today right at open (8) to try to get an emergency appointment with Dr. Hendrix. The receptionist informed me that he is booked for a while but I can get in with the Nurse Practitioner Kara Baker today. I went to my appointment for 10:15, finished getting checked in at 10:25 and wasn’t called back until 11. Not a big deal at all, I understand being busy. I was triaged quickly and waited for the NP to come in. I discussed my very worrisome symptoms and concerns with the NP and was completely blown off by her. I feel like she didn’t listen to my concerns at all about these extreme symptoms and I honestly feel like she thought I was crazy when I told her about what I personally think is going on with me. I was diagnosed with a headache. I felt so unheard that I literally started crying when she left the room. At checkout I immediately scheduled the next available appointment with Dr. Hendrix for a second opinion (over two weeks away). I love this office and Dr. Hendrix but my experience today with the NP was awful. I pay out of pocket so I honestly believe this appointment was a waste of my money, time, and energy. Hopefully I can get in sooner with Dr. Hendrix."
