"My mom went there for occupational therapy and physical therapy. She was there for a week and they didn't even start to OT to help her start eating by herself and they put her food tray in front of her and walked out knowing she wasn't strong enough to feed herself, also the air conditioner tore up in her room, my daughter complained and I even called up there myself to complain. After a week she was finally transferred to the hospital for covid and UTI infection where she was assigned a caseworker to help me get her transferred out to a different facility. Would not recommend at all. Very, very disappointed in this facility on how they treated my mom. She was 81 and they showed no compassion at all towards helping her after she was transferred there from Savannah Memorial from being in a coma."
"My Father was in for rehab the immediate staff was decent. I’m my Dads care taker and emergency contact, so I received a phone call at 4pm that my Dads 20 days were up (July 29) and tomorrow (July 30) a $250.00 per for as long as he would be there until he leaves!! I was flabbergasted I asked the young lady “what kind of business wait until the last very last day to inform the patient that hey by the way at 4pm and closed the office at 4:30 that being tomorrow you’ll pay j us 250.00 a day until you leave”. I asked for her name and Debbie told me she was new at her position, well, I told Debbie the new employee that if we would’ve know this on Friday July 26 by end of business day we could’ve and would’ve prepared for home health care. Debbie let me know that the business could signed Dad up for Medicade I let her know that Dad does not qualify because of his pension. I ask to speak to the site manager, after a long wait Brooks Hooks the manager answered the phone and proceeded to let me know that Dad would be discharged tomorrow (July 30) what time would I be there to pick him up. I repeated my same concern about arranging care for Dad at home, Not one time did this manager ever have nor spoke about Dads health, progress, or safety. Brooks Hooks went on to tell me that they could get Dads Medicade and they would take the copay $250.00 per day out of it, at this point IM scratching my head the only thing that Brooks Hooks was concerned about was the finances for her bottom line, I told her the same thing if we knew about this earlier we would have reached, Brooks Hooks told me that Dad was informed by one of the staff members,. It’s now 4:11Pm. I called Dads insurance company and they informed me that the authorization was through July 31 at 4:21pm I think them and called back to speak to Brooks Hooks, it’s 4:37pm on the 29th and everyone has left for the day but the nurses station was able to transfer me to Brooks Hooks voice message. I left a message along with the authorization # and the phone number to the insurance company, so that when Brooks Hooks were to return to work in the morning she could show some concern about a patient and call and let us know that we had a day to call for home health services. I also asked Brooks Hooks to let me know what member of her staff spoke to Dad, Nope Brooks Hooks never called me back until Pruitt Health called or emailed her and told her to call for I had put a complaint about her action or the lack of concern about people. Brooks Hooks had tyler discharge Dad and had him packed up and ready to go at 8am July 30. Therapy came to Dads room (28 E) for therapy Dad let them know he had been discharged they were confused and let Dad know they would be back in a moment they never returned, I called Pruitt Health once again to voice my concern about the lack of care for patients and to speak to whomever was over oaks Bethany of Vidalia Ga. They let me know that Mr. Grant was the area manager, I asked if I could please have a call from him the young lady on the phone spoke with concern and listened and let me know she would put in a complaint. I never received a call, more I see where Brooks Hooks get it from, I made it in town to pick up Dad and when I went to get him from B room 28E everyone let me know that today July 30 was the first the had heard about Dad leaving, I understand a business is a business and you have to make money but don’t be in a business where peoples lives are your business and all you care about is they’re monies.. please find another location for your love one but be there all the time checking on they’re well being. 3 of the residents and one staffed member had Covid when Dad left. We’re a praying family and we’re praying all of the patients that has been left behind. The facility smelled bad until one of the staff let the office side know that the family members were complaining about the lack of cleaning and smell, they were to have a inspection of some sort so everyone was on there best behavior even vacuuming and wiping down the disgusting bathrooms!"
"I put one star but this place doesn't deserve that, but I couldn't write a review if I had not put the one star. Very badly ran place. My mother was there for rehab. She could not get up so they put a diaper on her and wouldn't change her as needed. The smell in this place is so so bad. I went to visit one day and there was a big piece of paper on the floor in the hall and the staff kept walking by it like it wasn't there. They only vacuum the hallway one time in 5 days. The bathroom is a jack and Jill set up so 4 residence have to share. The sink had not been cleaned in forever and the smell was terrible. A few of the staff were fair but most were just there for the dollar. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CONDEMED AND ALL OF PRUITT RAN PLACES PROBABLY NEED TO BE CONDEMED AS WELL BECAUSE THEY ARE PROBABLY RAN THIS BAD AS WELL. THE STATE SHOULD FILE LEGAL CLAIMS AGAINST THE OWNERS FOR LETTING THIS GO ON. THIS IS NEGLECT IN THE HIGHEST FORM. BAD BAD PLACE"
"I was pleased with the care my brother received at Bethany. Everyone on staff was helpful and caring. Looking forward to my brother coming back to Bethany for long term care. Thanks to all!"
"Wow this facility has so many employees that show true compassion to the Residents. To really judge this facility, one must actually be there only a few minutes and they will see and feel the love there. No it’s not the Hyatt or Longhorn but the staff and Administration do the very best that they can with what they have available. I was there with a friend while she was visiting her grandmother and the staff are struggling but it doesn’t slow them down from smiling and giving a quick hello as you walk by. Someone should give these people a raise because they truly work hard to make it a great facility. Shout out to the Dietary Dept Manager as I saw her singing and dancing in the dining room with the Residents and there was nothing but joy in there. You can tell she really loves her job and has so much love for the Residents."
