"Poor quality workmanship and pointing it out to Kim was a waste of breath. Lack of communication, if you want updates as to when contractors will be onsite you must call/text her, she will not reach out first, which is stressful. She took no accountablity for any of it, including the handful of debri I dug out of the tub drain after her drywall and tiler installed the backer board and tile surround. We had many discussions regarding the quality, issues, etc and never once did she accept responsibilty. The bathroom wall tiles are not level because the backer was not leveled when installed, so the tiling looks like crap. The tub was damaged in several places due to lack of protective covering during tiling. The drywaller cut the hole for the heat vent 2" to big all around so I had to buy a new vent. My hardwood floors were not protected during drywalling and I came home to a puddle of water on the bedroom floor, very unprofessional and lack of care for my home. The obscur window she said she ordered the end of January has still not been installed nor the closing in of one window that was to be finished with siding. I've done countless hours remudding and sanding drywall because the pitting and finish was so bad it stood out like a sore thumb after painting and filled in trim tack holes to prep for me to paint. One of her workers used my bathroom and left pee on the floor twice! Who are these people she hires?? They don't know what they are doing and pee on your floor (without cleaning it up). I hauled out all of the left over material and trash and did the clean up, because apparently that isn't included or expected. Of all of the workers she sent to my home 2 were good, James and Walter, they others not experienced or attentive to their job quality. The woman's review from 7 years ago pretty much sums up my experience. Kim said she will drop off all materials to finish the install of the window and material to close up the window (I'll be out the cost of labor only if she does approx $450) and if that happens I will update this post to reflect that, if it happens within the next 7 days. Today's date is 4/25/2024. Proceed with care if you hire Urban Interiors and More."
"Called and the Kim came out, measured, took pictures, but never got back to me ... very disappointing, guess that's better than getting ripped off..."
"I know Covid and been affecting a lot of businesses, are you guys still operating? I've tried calling and emailing but still haven't received a response. When we meet a few years back I always said I would contact your business to get my projects started. If you could I'd still like to give you all a shot before going elsewhere"
"Kim bid a small job at my place and was head-and-shoulders above every other contractor I spoke with regarding her professionalism and knowledge."
"To make a very long story short as possible. This company is terrible. Contracted them to do a kitchen/dining room with a tentative schedule of about 15 days. I did not have a kitchen for 5 months. I provided materials such as counters, cabinets, flooring, tile, grout, etc, and they in same way caused damage to all of my materials. The first carpenter was terrible, ripped a cabinet, which was screwed in, out of the wall and hit it with a hammer in anger. Used 2 island cabinets ($500 each) as saw horses. I finally requested a new carpenter, and several cabinets and doors needed to be replaced. Constant no shows with workers. At one point when I asked to see the permits she was charging me $720 for, she informed me she did not get the permits. When I asked why they were on the updated invoice provided several days previous, she said the amount would be subtracted at the end and I just did understand her invoicing system. The actual contractor was never present, and when she was never seemed to know what was going on. She takes accountability for NOTHING. Now trying to blame me for delays, though not sure why when there is email and text messages showing her claims are absolutely false. Would not return my house key without final payment which she wanted immediately following final invoicing, seems she didnt want me to have the chance to review it. So I've needed to change 3 dead bolts. There was no finishing work completed, parts of the job left undone and everything was done poorly. I have spent countless hours sanding drywall, caulking, fixing trim, etc, just to make it all look somewhat decent. Then at then end when she sent final invoice, told me she went ahead a removed appliance installation because she couldnt find the gas line for the stove, and left my appliances in my livingroom. I could not believe after leaving me with no kitchen for 5 months she had the audacity to do that. This has been the absolute worst experience I could imagine. Do not use this company, they have no idea what they are doing. They will give you a confusing invoice, overcharge you, take your money, and destroy your home."
