Lee County Jail
About the Business
Welcome to the official website of the Lee County Jail, a vital part of the local government and police services in Montrose, Iowa. Located at 2530 255th Street, our facility is dedicated to maintaining the safety and security of the community while providing essential services and support to law enforcement operations in Lee County.
In addition to our primary responsibilities, we are pleased to announce an upcoming opportunity for community involvement: there is an opening on the Lee County Conservation Board for a new five-year term starting in January 2025. This position offers a chance to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of our local natural resources.
Furthermore, we provide comprehensive and transparent reporting of our financial activities, including a detailed report of expenses related to the Newberry Center building in Fort Madison from July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2024.
We are also excited to share that Lee County EMS is currently accepting applications for the position of part-time Paramedic. Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma (GED or equivalent), an Iowa (or compact state) Paramedic Certification, a valid driver’s license, and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. PHTLS and 911 experience are preferred but not required.
