"Great park to take your family to. Very clean and well kept. Entrance is a little tricky and could be marked better."
"Absolutely gorgeous park. The entrance could be marked better but other than that, no complaints. The paved paths are very nice to walk around and see the sights."
"This is the newest of the St. Charles County parks, and it is interesting to explore. The park is continuing to develop and improving. They have cleaned up a lot of the dead brush at the edge of the small lake nearest to the entrance. The big lake is looking better now that the grass has spread to the edge of the water, and they're starting to remove some of those bright green barriers that were in place to stop erosion. There are lots of walking paths paved with blacktop, which is not ideal because it gets awfully hot on a warm day in the sun. The trails in the woods are nicer. I walked most of Millville Trace, but it got a bit confusing because it kept crossing the maintenance access road and I thought I was retracing my steps. Lots of signs so it's hard to get too lost, at least. The woods are peaceful since there was no one else there at the time."
"Such a beautiful Park!! we went there today with such beautiful weather and it's so open and spacious and quiet out there! And I love all of the critters we were seeing like the bees, butterflies, dragonflies. Thank you to whomever donated this land, you are some wonderful people to do something like that for others!! We walk the trails and my boys rode their bikes and scooters, we just loved it!!"
"Today, I had the pleasure of exploring Oglesby Park, the newest addition to the St. Charles County Parks system. I enjoyed walking the paved pathways that circle a small lake and meander through gently rolling terrain. There are also mostly shaded natural surface trails through wooded areas that are located at the far end of the park: Tobacco Alley (0.75 mi.) and Millville Trace (1.5 mi.). A highlight for families is the large playground with equipment suitable for toddlers and school age children. There are covered pavilions and restrooms conveniently located in several areas. The park is new, so there are large areas without vegetation but it's only a matter of time until it grows in and its beauty will grow as it does. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon!!"
