"Nice area to unwind and to get to know some history of the area and the lock and dam system along with the history of all the barges and boats that use the river."
"If in the area worth a trip to see the lock and dam which was built in the 1930's. If you track the towboats you can time your visit when a barge is going through the locks. The whole process can easily be seen from the observation area. Well kept facility with good signage, no restrooms or picnic tables."
