"Updated: Not one thing about this place impressed me. Before I had arrived, my partners had been up in Palmyra to pick up a trailer but were refused by Josh (a salesman, not the manager) who called the police on them. I was sick and had to get out of bed to drive the two hour trip north, just to get things squared away. Since it was getting late, it was nice of the manager to stay to sign paperwork on a trailer I didn’t want to take off the lot. The only trailer that was the right size for our needs was a repo that was priced too high, but my partner felt that we needed a trailer right away. THAT trailer, even though everyone in our group was opposed. [It turned out that my “partner” was actually an international scam artist who had bluffed his way into my small world, stole my identity, and financially destroyed me…] There was hail damage on the top of the trailer and the entire right side, including the angled right front panel. There was also damage from someone running into something at the top of the left side near the center. The front manual jack was missing screws, the emergency wire to connect to the truck that shuts everything down if it disconnects was holding on by two strands. The trailer had four matching tires and rims but the left front tire was very low on air. This is the true condition of the trailer. It should have never been sold at this price or in this condition. The excuses and remedies given by Silverline staff were ridiculous. My partner asked about the hail damage and if they would be willing to fix it because the price was so much higher than it should have been. Josh told us to get insurance and the next time we have a hailstorm, turn it in as a claim and we’ll get brand new panels. [BAD BUSINESS/INSURANCE FRAUD! Seems a lot like the scam artist I was already dealing with…] When I asked about the tire, Josh, the manager I assume, said, “It’s probably the cold weather we’ve been having. I see it happen all the time.” I’m fully aware that cold temps will lower the air pressure in tires. However, cold weather is not going to randomly pick a single tire on an entire lot filled with trailers (that all come with wheels and tires, too) to take out its cold compression anger. Not another tire on the lot was low. There was also this strangely mangled, gross, sticky thing hanging off the side of the tire connected to the very outside of the tread. As I was being rushed through signing paperwork, I asked what they would do about the tire (because I know he knew it was not flat due to ‘cold weather’) if it blew as soon as we took it off the lot. He said “you’ll have to buy a new one.” I asked if he had anything to inflate it and he said that he didn’t, but that there was a gas station right across Hwy 61. He locked up and left the lot almost immediately after my final signature. I took a little longer getting out to the road after the trailer was hooked up to the other truck and they headed to the gas station. I got a phone call from my partner. He had a flat tire by the time he got across the highway. That gross and sticky thing was a failed tire plug and it took the first chance it had to fly out. Thankfully, the convenience store sold tire plug kits. It took a while to “fix” because the awkward hole was on the sidewall at the tread. We got the plug in and felt it would [possibly] stay for the long ride, so off we went. The tire was almost completely gone by I-64 going south on 61. The tire shredded off the rim, leaving only a small strap of rubber on the wheel. It was too late to do anything at that point, so we got back on the road, let the rim spin like it was doing something important, and drove home while planning what to say or do on our next trip to Silverline Trailers… My “partner” decided there wouldn’t be a next time. After learning about his true identity, I now see things more clearly. We were able to get “my partner” deported and blacklisted from the US, leaving me and a few others to clean up the HUGE MESS he made. If I had known, none of this would have happened."
"Absolutely butter experience with the fellows of Silverline Trailers in Hannibal. Walked in and within 45 minutes I was out the door ready to drive away with my new trailer. Highly recommended group there at Silverline Trailers in Hannibal."
"Amazing people super helpful and amazing customer service. Will be back for our next trailer too."
"Super disappointed in Josh. Worked what I thought was a good deal. Got a $1000 discount on a Bigtex 16’ dump trailer because it had one dent in the side which I got a picture of. Didn’t look too bad then I drove 2.5 hours 1 way with cash in hand. What I found was a junk trailer that and shouldn’t be sold. Broke weld on one side for sure and both sides which were completely deformed from transport. I walked and won’t ever do business with them."
