"There is no way this place is inspected by Georgia officials for safety. I’ll start with our first ride. The young girl running the Matterhorn had no idea how to operate the ride safely. We witnessed a ride malfunction while waiting in line. The girl tried to physically stop the ride with her hands and when she couldn’t, she screamed for maintenance. Once maintenance claimed it was fixed, the girl tried yelling over music and other noise, “everyone ready? I didn’t hear a no so here we go.” The ride instantly started spinning and she assumed everyone was seated and properly seated. The wacky house. The young man operating it just looked at people and gave no confident instructions. At the end of the ride he stared at me. I asked him if I could get off. He did not answer so I stood up. The ride was stopped for me but the riders behind me rammed me under the young operator’s control. The ramming caused me to fall backwards into the seat. I was not hurt but could have easily had been avoided. The pirate ship. - the wooden deck was warped and obviously not safe to stand on much less operating a ride. The boat chute. The tunnel was so hot and the water was so nasty. That same water splashed us at the end. The scrambler. That was so slow and not like others I had rode on before. Bumper cars. The cars were barely operational and I hurt my shoulder by being rammed so hard by other riders. I actually had bruises from the shoulder straps that had not been swapped out since the park opened. I have attended this amusement park when I was a kid and had great memories. The park has not changed at all. Not even the rides. There is no way this is deemed ok. The maintenance is terrible. I have seen traveling carnival rides safer than this park."
"Great little retro park with a nice sized waterpark included in the price of admission, which is a very good price. Several shaded picnic areas and you can bring your own cooler, drinks and food! Is even safe to leave everything unattended. Never had any problems with stealing on all the years we've taken the grandkids, who are both teenagers now and still enjoy going for the day. They're adding new rides but still have all the classics as well. I highly recommend it for a enjoyable family day."
"I grew up going to this park and loved it so much then, but the owners have done an AMAZING job of renovating and adding new features and rides but keeping the nostalgia! I moved away a long time ago and was pleasantly surprised when I came home for a visit! I took my daughter for the first time and she has an absolute BLAST!! The ticket prices are affordable as well! The entire family had an awesome day filled with precious memories to last a lifetime ❤️"
"My 12-year-old granddaughter loves this place. We only visited the amusement side this time, and while they have a nice selection of rides, from toddler to the thrill rides like the 140 ft drop, there were a surprising number of attractions that were closed. She has a season pass and mentioned that some had been closed for a long time. That was disappointing. I will give kudos to the staff as everyone we encountered was very friendly and outgoing and seemed to actually enjoy their job. There are plenty of places to rest in the shade and places to buy a drink. Parking is plentiful. I appreciated the senior rate of $32.95 as it was a $10 discount. If you are looking for a place to take the kids with a water feature and rides close to home, this is a nice option."
"We experienced both the amusement side and the water park side of Lake Winnie. While you can tell it’s an older park, it is well maintained, clean, fun, and a wholesome experience. The staff we encountered all seemed friendly and helpful. Our kids had a ball and we were thankful to have come during a weekday - we didn’t experience long waits on anything! Overall, an enjoyable experience."
