Located at 91 Industrial Drive, Chickamauga, Georgia 30707, Walker County Transit Services is dedicated to providing reliable and accessible public transportation for residents and visitors alike. Our service is designed to assist you with your daily errands and appointments, including visits to the doctor or grocery shopping.

Hours of Operation:

We operate from Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please note that Saturday services were discontinued as of November 5, 2022.

Reservations:

To ensure a smooth and timely service, reservations are required at least one day in advance. To book your ride, call us at (706) 375-0803. Be ready to provide the exact street address of your destination. For return trips, simply call the Transit Office when you are ready, and we will dispatch a vehicle to pick you up.

Fares:

A fare of $4.00 per trip is required before boarding. Please have the exact amount ready. This applies to both initial and return trips.

Accessibility:

Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS):

TRS allows individuals with hearing or speech disabilities to use the telephone system via a text telephone (TTY) or other device. Simply dial 711 to connect with a TRS communications assistant.

Mobility Device Accommodation:

We accommodate mobility devices within specified dimensions and weight limits. All mobility devices must be secured during transit for safety. Service will be declined if a rider refuses to secure their mobility device.
