"Having never before been here I was pleased with the results. Driving down from Dubuque this day made finding this place easy. It's located just out of town off highway 62. Easy. Just look for the sign near front entrance. Follow the well maintained road to small parking area. Access to stream very close. A rock bridge has been made for easy access to trail on other side. All streams and rivers in Iowa are low or very low so this was no exception. Trail was a mowed footpath. Took me into the woods a few miles. Didn't see any deer or anything. Despite this this stream is known to a chosen few to catch Brown trout. Well documented. Good size and better yet, good eating. I didn't fish today. This was a scouting expedition. But in my opinion well worth coming back to. This place was maintained and trash picked up. Trail was groomed. Despite being so close to nearby town it was quiet and peaceful. I didn't see anything about dogs allowed there. No rest room of any kind. No playground. Just a stream and fish to catch."
