"Great place to visit while exploring! There are bathrooms, lots of great information, and a informative video you can check out if you ask the park ranger! If you have a National Park stamp book, this is the place to get it stamped as there are at least two or three stamps here! I highly recommend it! Plus it’s the first stop on the way out of the island so I suggest taking the ferry from this place to head back to the car!"
"Loved Cumberland Island! Camped at Sea Camp for 3 nights and the staff at the Ranger's Station were very friendly and helpful. Also a big plus that there's cell phone service from there ... and rocking chairs on the porch! Can't wait to return."
"Went to Cumberland Island for the tour and it was well worth it!! $45 for the Land and Leisure tour with our guide Mike!! He was the best!! 6 hour tour and it went by so fast because he kept up the story the whole time!! Great stories about the island, the Carnegie family, their homes and how the NPS acquired the island land!! So with taking the tour!! We saw the homes, horses, turkeys, armadillos, cemeteries, giant trees, oyster beds, old golf courses, a burned down mansion, and finally the tiny church where JFK Jr was married!!! Most of this you wouldn't have seen if you hadn't taken the tour!!! So well worth!!!"
"Cumberland Island is a must-see. Wild horses, beautiful natural beaches and marshlands make this magical place for a visit. You can come by ferry or your own boat. You can camp in primitive campsites or just come for the day. There is also a small hotel on the island, although I haven't seen it. Public restrooms are plentiful as are water bottle filling stations, even showers and feet rinsing stations for after your beach-walk. Bring your own food and be prepared to carry out all of your trash."
"Helpful, friendly rangers at Cumberland Island. This outpost provides an oasis for backpackers, campers and day visitors. Great to have rental bikes available and reliable access from/to St Mary's dock."
