"Needs a little more work. I heard the campgrounds were abandoned after a hurricane came through. There were people at the site making improvements. I can't wait to see the finished product. There were fireflies at night!"
"What an amazing camp. Surrounded by water this is a perfect Adventure Base Camp. Enjoyed paddling out to Bird Island from the back side boat ramp"
"Camp Tolochee is "home." Don't expect a Taj Mahal or a Holiday Inn, but find yourself lost in the natural beauty of the marshes of Glynn. Get lost in the "Tolochee zone", where time slows down, life slows down, nature gets louder and civilization is quietly left behind. Where the night sky is so special, it is unlike any other thing in the South. The hum of I-95 in the distance, leads you into dreams and deep, beautiful sleep. But, beware! There in the blessed nature of Camp Tolochee, one will find that you will be constantly chewed on by sand gnats. If you were to catch one and place it under microscope, you will be amazed to see that a sand gnat is actually just a pair of dentures with wings. Camp Tolochee is the previous council camp of the Okefenokee Area Council and currently used as a Cub Scout camp and water entry point for the Coastal Georgia Council. Also, stop by the Camp Tolochee store if you need some Scouting necessities."
"Was really nice and many camp sites. A few areas could use some maintenance, but not sure how BSA helps with funding such thing. We enjoyed out camping."
"This place is nice and has a lot of potential. It needs a lot of work done around here, but could be fixed up and become the best scouting camp!"
