"While it is not the hairdresser’s fault that my child had a hard time with the haircut, I was disappointed that no one offered how to help or offer for me to come back at a different time to finish, etc. I was just expected to pay the full price + tip and walk out with a half of a haircut. I had to go home and learn to cut hair. Don’t scoff at this review because one day your kid could randomly have a hard time too!"
"Great experience with my 4 year old and 1 year old. We usually take my 4 year old to the barber but never really like how his hair turns out. His haircut here turned out so good!!! For my 1 year old, this was his first hair cut. He was smiling and again his hair cut was so good. I wish I remembered the hair dressers name because she did phenomenal!"
"My son is 2 and previously we had been unable to get his haircut because he was not wanting to cooperate. Our experience here was so different and my son was more than excited to pick out a chair. The staff was so patient with him and his hair looks great! We will definitely be back."
"Thank you Mrs. Connie! We were so scared of taking our 2yr old for his first haircut but Cookie Cutters was amazing! Very clean, all staff was friendly and accommodating. Mrs. Connie is so skilled and was able to get an awesome cut on our very wiggly boy. Great experience for sure ! Went back and saw Mrs. Breezy for our youngest son's first cut and she did a wonderful job too!"
"My oldest has always loved coming here for her haircuts (I believe this time made the 3rd or 4th visit we’ve had there) so when it came time for my youngest to get her first hair cut we were excited to bring her there as well. We visited the salon yesterday to get both girls hairs cut (youngest-first hair cut, oldest-donating hair) and arrived 15 minutes prior to our appointment and waited for our turns. When our names were called it was a little after the time we set for our appointments which was fine with us we weren’t in any rush. Unfortunately our stylist Amanda seemed to be and once my oldest got in the chair to start the process of donating her hair you could see Amanda was getting frustrated and overwhelmed. She first started by putting my daughters hair in 1 single pony tale and planned to chop it off for donation which would of left her with not much hair at all..when another stylist told her she needed to do separate parts she fixed it and when she showed where she would be cutting it looked like she would have a little length past her shoulders and then we planned to trim it right to her shoulders. As each section was cut she cut shorter and shorter until the hair was now at my daughters chin line. Way too short than what we wanted and what my daughter wanted. I had to keep asking Amanda to fix pieces that were uneven and choppy on my oldest even once my youngest was in the chair because it was just all over the place wonky..my oldest is 5 and when she got home and saw herself fully in the mirror she cried!! She loves donating her hair..she grew it out for 2 years since her last donation at your salon and was excited to go back for another great experience (we had Miss Amy last time❤️) but unfortunately this experience has ruined it all for her and she doesn’t want to go back. Now my youngests haircut is when I had enough and my husband and I were ready to just pay for our oldest daughters cut and leave but we didn’t want to upset my youngest because she wanted this haircut so bad like her sissy. My youngest is 2.5 almost 3 and when I tell you she sat so still I was shocked but the second she did move a little inch Amanda would rudely make comments that my daughter is putting her behind in her next appointment…as I mentioned at the beginning we were called after our appointment time (again no issue with me but I guess Amanda felt the need to say it’s my child’s fault that now she’s running behind) I did speak up at that point and told her she will be running late to all her appointments today because of being late prior to us and the comments stopped. Again I had to ask her to fix and even up the hairs on my youngest before we just settled for what we got and left because at that point she couldn’t do it without chopping shorter and shorter. Normally my oldest is offered clips, bows or glitter before finishing up. Both girls did not get to do either because it wasn’t offered this time I’m assuming because we were putting her behind. This experience was just nothing like we’ve ever experienced here and are very upset by that especially spending $45+ and walking out disappointed. I’ve watched a lot of stylist cut hair especially at that salon and I’ve never seen a stylist cut hair the way Amanda did and I say this with no direspect but I think Amanda could benefit from more hands on training with kids and cutting their hair. I wasn’t going to write any review or say anything but seeing how upset my oldest daughter was when we got home… I felt it’s best yall should know how the experience was and hopefully it can better help Amanda to learn from any mistakes. Life’s about making mistakes and learning from them no biggie at all just unfortunately this one may have made it so we don’t want to go back unless we can specifically request someone and only get them… I will be attaching photos of what we asked for the kids haircuts to be and what they got… my oldest was supposed to have shoulder length and my youngest was supposed to have around chin length…basically they got opposite haircuts that we asked for."
