"Convenient, easy to use and free. Employees are so kind and respectful when my 91-year-old father or I have needed help hefting a bag of garbage into a compactor. Thank you!"
"Never had a problem here, the guys staffing the compactors have ranged from just ignoring us (which is perfectly fine for us) to being friendly and we've never experienced nor witnessed any of the types of altercations that others report, which I'm very sorry to hear about. We generally do our trash runs in two parts: bagged household trash, then we pull around and drop off our (pre-flattened) cardboard and hit the button to run the cardboard compactor per the instructions given to us by one of the fellas staffing Midway Convenience Center (we generally have a ton of cardboard so that's probably why.) Other than occasionally having to wait a few minutes in line, which is barely worth even considering as an inconvenience, we've never had any problems dropping off our household trash & cardboard and are very appreciative of how conveniently close Midway is to where we live."
"This place is filthy. For those saying this place is clean, I'd hate to see the inside of your homes. It is a dump, but there are certain levels of sanitary expectations and this place is not meeting those state levels. Every time I open my car door, I am rushed by yellow jackets. The man Bill is rude to people. I have seen him time and time again yell at elderly people. Our tax dollars pay for this place and it was built with several lanes and multiple dumpsters. All lanes need to be open. Instead only one lane and one dumpster. And no you can't pull around like another reviewer said because the lanes are all blocked but one and there is a sign that says one vehicle at a time . It literally says remain in your vehicle until the vehicle in front of you is finished. We have to sit in our cars while people stand in the back of pickups and toss in bags and bags of trash, then they have to socialize with the trash attendant, despite all the vehicles backed up waiting for their turn. Sometimes there are ten trucks in line for one dumpster. This place needs to operate as originally intended and more efficient."
"My husband and I live in Floyd county except we don’t have a Floyd tag on our vehicle. When we pulled into the site there was a man in front of us with a Hart tag on his vehicle, we didn’t think anything of our tag. the man who owns the place let him dump his trash but refused to let us dump ours we tried to explain that we really did live in Floyd. They seemed like they knew each other so I guess you can only dump your trash if you know the owner. Good to know."
