"Customers service was VERY unprofessional, rude and treated me as if I was a criminal or as if they owned the park. I was out there checking the place out for a family event, but I will NOT be entertaining these old clowns."
"Beautiful lake, beautiful sunsets!"
"West Point Lake huge and beautiful. But the amount of trash in it and along the shorelines was gross and very disappointing. My friend and I rented a kayak which I thought was a bit on the expensive side and we went fishing. We did not catch anything at all. Tried a bunch of different lures, but no dice. Maybe we just weren’t using the right bait, but it was slightly disappointing. Gosh we’re jumping and we did see some big fish resting on the surface. Which was neat. It was a good experience for an out of stater."
"My first time going and I was able to get some good pictures of bald eagles, and some not so good being my first time there. I also got pictures of belted kingfisher, and tufted titmouse. It was very peaceful, and everyone was so welcoming. I was at the Hardley Creek area."
"We turn from artistic beauty to its natural cousin, in this case West Point Lake, located less than 13 km west of LaGrange. Actually a man-made reservoir created by the damming of the Chattahoochee River, the lake has almost 1,000 km of attractive shoreline to choose between. A wildlife management area, and two regions of wetland, Dixie Creek and Glover’s Creek, provide important habitats for a variety of species. These include the endangered Bald Eagle. The lake is a popular spot for anglers to drop a line, with fish such as the bluestripe shiner common. But be warned, alligators have been spotted doing a little fishing here too."
