The E911 Administrative Offices maintain the address database for Houston County, ensuring all new addresses are integrated into the Computer-Aided Dispatch system used by our Communication Centers.

Our team of skilled professionals is ready to handle any level of emergency under any circumstance. Public Safety Call Takers receive and manage police, fire, and EMS calls, entering them into a dispatch program that routes the information to dispatchers who send help and provide vital information to responding units.

The Dothan-Houston County Communications District Board, consisting of nine members, oversees our operations. The board includes appointees from the City and County Commissions, as well as local law enforcement and fire department leaders.

Preparedness and response are key to saving time and lives, a goal shared by the Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management. We conduct regular tests of outdoor alert sirens and encourage residents to stay informed through NOAA weather radios and media outlets.
