"I visited Deware Funeral Home twice and first met with Joseph to draft an initial plan for funeral pre-arrangements, and then with Sara and Dan in order to finalize and purchase said funeral pre-arrangements. I had no prior experience making any type of funeral arrangements but I feel that I made an excellent choice in going with Deware. I chose to do these pre-arrangements in order to hopefully lessen the burden and stress levels when the time comes for perhaps myself and those who follow me. All of these individuals at Deware listened to my needs and wishes and exhibited the utmost in professionalism and knowledge to guide me thru the process and to provide me with the best plan based on those needs. I never felt pressured to opt for features beyond what I felt were needed; rather, I felt that they just focused on making me a fully satisfied customer. They certainly succeded in that endeavor."
"I would not wish my 2012 experience on anyone. If you care at all for the memory of your loved one do not bring them here. The funeral director had the absolute nerve to say we would have to forgive him for all the mistakes made due to the fact he was HIGH ON PAIN MEDS. I'm sorry, What? Unasked and unwanted he re wrote the obituary. And to top everything off he kept referring to my mother as a man because of her veterans status. A ring she was wearing "disappeared". He claimed there was no ring. Funny then when I said I would call the police the ring magically had been put in a safe somewhere. When he brought it out he shoved it on to my mother's finger like he was in a rage. The whole thing was deeply disturbing. Then by the end to top everything off the credit card was charged twice! But only after he blatantly lied and told me my mother would not be eligible for the veterans burial stipend. The man from veterans affairs apologized profusely and could not for the life of him understand why this funeral director would say such a thing. I wonder just how many people that were grieving got conned by this man. Oh and for some bizzare reason he kept insisting she had a different name and a different town of birth. I had to go and change the death certificate not once but twice. And the people from Bourne kept calling me because he was insisting on changing the name on her plaque. I've never been through anything so strange. And then months later like a final kick in the teeth from this place I received a survey. I had a lot on my plate at the time and was not prompt with returning it. Some condescending woman called me and asked that I check off all the good to great boxes and send it back as quick as I could. It took everything inside me not to finally blow up. I told her never to contact me again and they'd be lucky if I didn't file a complaint with the BBB."
"They were Kind, Caring, Gentle and Extremely Professional. They did a top notch job from beginning to end. They made us all very comfortable during a very difficult time."
"The team at Deware prepared and carried out an outstanding funeral program for our Mom. Every detail was covered as we have infrequent experience with this, without hard up-selling pitches. The items in the pre-printed funeral package were appropriate and we appreciate their giving us choices and flexibility, and very accommodating every step of the process. We were pleasantly surprised and appreciate immensely the memorial pamphlets for the services, the quality photo memory video, the portrait paintings digitally converted from the photo, and the printed thank you cards with Mom’s photo and a poetic expression inside. Because we had made the arrangements before the event the overall price was also discounted by a good amount. I highly recommend Deware Funeral Home."
"While I was with my mother at the nursing home, and with her last breath the nursing home asked what funeral home I was using for the arrangements. As my mother passed away and being upset and not thinking clearly,I gave gave them the name of the wrong Funeral Home. When I got home and got the paperwork, I realize what I had done, I immediately called Deware. They arrange to pick up my mother brought her back to their Funeral Home and worked with me for the extra cost of the other funeral home that had picked up my mother at the nursing home. They went above and beyond and I'm very grateful. Thank You John Stebbins"
