Welcome to the Northeastern University Department of Political Science, located at 1135 Tremont Street, Boston, Massachusetts. We are dedicated to providing students with a flexible and customizable educational experience through our interdisciplinary undergraduate degree programs in Political Science and a variety of combined majors. Our goal is to prepare students for leadership roles across the public, non-profit, and private sectors.

Our unique educational approach combines classroom learning with experiential opportunities, encouraging students to apply and transform their knowledge and skills in diverse contexts, from government agencies to nonprofit organizations and various industries. We equip students with essential 21st-century skills, including text mining, data visualization, and network analysis, ensuring they are ready to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving world.

At Northeastern, we emphasize the importance of being global citizens and actively engaging in local communities. Our department is a national leader in faculty-led, short-term study abroad programs known as Dialogues of Civilization. These programs offer academic experiences in countries such as Brazil, Israel, Germany, Japan, Jordan, and Switzerland, among others.
