"Very broken and corrupt. My heart goes out to any loving family that is unfortunately involved with this agency. Please hire a lawyer ASAP and protect you and your childs rights."
"I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the conduct and actions of Solange Rodrigues, who has been handling my case under the purview of the Department of Children and Families (DCF). My 12-year-old daughter’s maternal grandparents opened a child abuse/neglect case against my daughter’s mother. Despite the gravity of the situation and the genuine fears expressed by my 12-year-old daughter, Giselle, regarding her safety in her mother's care, I was astonished and deeply troubled by the decision made by Ms. Rodriguez. Giselle, in a clear and courageous manner, voiced her concerns and explicitly stated her preference to temporarily reside with her grandparents, Joe and Shelly, until the case could be resolved. Shockingly, Ms. Rodriguez, against Giselle's wishes, insisted on her returning to live with her mother, Kary, despite the evident distress and fear expressed by my daughter. It is distressing and unacceptable that Giselle's explicit feelings and requests regarding her safety and well-being were disregarded in such a crucial matter. The primary focus in cases of neglect and abuse should be the child's safety and mental health, and it is disheartening to witness a decision that appears to prioritize administrative expediency over Giselle's genuine concerns. These some of the issues Solange has failed to do and proved over and over that she is an incompetent social worker to handle any child abuse/neglect case. • Failure to respond to urgent matters promptly. • Failure to update me on status of child abuse/neglect case. • Inaccurate or incomplete documentation of crucial information. • Lack of empathy or understanding regarding critical aspects of the situation. I urge the department to thoroughly investigate these issues and take appropriate action to rectify the situation. It is crucial that the Department of Children and Families ensures that its representatives act in a manner that upholds the values and responsibilities entrusted to them."
"My wife made up a story to get me thrown out of the house when DCF showed up, the worker was very rude and very condescending. He kept asking a lot of questions and I said if you keep asking more I'm going to ask you to leave because I need a lawyer and of course they ruled against me citing abuse. I am going to have a fair hearing and they're going to see pictures to prove that we we're a happy family until my wife started cheating with a guy named Al Rego of Dartmouth. Everybody watch your wife this guy will get anything that has a heartbeat"
"I’m a mandated reporter who called and spoke with a social worker named Lee Ann regarding some pretty serious things involving a very young child. Lee Ann would not listen to me or hear the information I had to provide. She was rude, dismissive and unprofessional. I asked her multiple times to allow me to speak and share the crucial information I had to report, and was met with nothing but her talking over me in a rude and dismissive tone. As an individual who also works with children and their families, I understand the importance of gathering information and listening to the data my clients provide me uninterrupted, especially when it’s something that directly impacts the safety of a child. Lee Ann was unable to provide this basic courtesy and also was highly unprofessional. It’s unfortunate that someone who is making their salary off American tax dollars, and who is being paid to protect our nations most vulnerable population (children) is more concerned with with not ”re opening a closed out case” then obtaining crucial information about the safety and wellbeing of an innocent child. New Bedford CPS really needs to reasses who they employ."
"There's Pros and Cons dealing with DCF but if you have a Good Case Worker then things aren't as bad to some extent. you wait almost forever when requesting something unless you really Annoy them, which is Also seriously annoying"
