Reviews
"Recently refurbished campground. Most sites are flat gravel surface, with a few concrete pads for ADA sites (#53-54) near bathhouse. Every site has water & electric (50A/30A/20A), picnic table, fire pit w/cooking grate and charcoal grill. Laundry room has Wifi access as of 5/8/24 (see access credentials on router). We stayed as camphosts on site #55. Lovely area, close to canyon rim & trails."
"Nicely renovated campground but a few things are lacking. Whoever designed it put in no parking for the restrooms and laundry. The camp host loves to scream at people if you park where you’re not supposed to which I guess means only park at your campsite and walk clear across the entire campground. No sidewalks to access the restrooms from most of the campground. There are 2 gray water disposal sites which are also not convenient and require lugging for most of the campground. No shower curtains in showers so your items on the bench get wet when showering. Sites are a bit tight and require some maneuvering for larger rigs. But the park is beautiful."
"Newly renovated. Bath house clean. Water and heater good. Site more level than they used to be. New fire rings, picnic tables, and hanging post. Fresh gravel. Nice playground. Easy access to canyon and west rim loop."
"Pros: Campsite was very clean and well maintained, the hiking trails were excellent and Obadiah gave us a very informative tour of the geography of the canyon! Cons: Our water faucet was broken and the Campsite host was very aggressive in regards to a misunderstanding about parking at the site. In conclusion it was an overall positive experience."
"Snow flurries didn't keep us from hiking down to the Cherokee and Hemlock falls. Quite a workout coming back up! Everything in this area of the campground is brand new, 3 months old. Comfort station is immaculate, hot showers with super water pressure. Each site is a gravel pad and nearly level at site 53. The dump station is right around the corner, great since there are no septic hookups. There are grey water dumping grates in the loop. We should go back to hike the other trails."
