"We first met this doctor during the pandemic and had the most thorough appointment via the telephone. I was so elated to have found a great doctor. He was caring, went through the medical history & treated us with compassion. In contrast; in the past year or so, it has been quite the opposite. Rushing through visits, quickly scanning the chart and spent more time discussing his appointment policy.. which we have heard each and every time we have come in for a visit. "Please arrive 30 minutes early for appointments, if you are on time, you are late" we arrived 10 minutes early to our appointment and the doctor walked in 36 minutes late and proceeded to lecture us about his policy. The Physical exam was performed without having to take any clothes off.. not even the hat. Looking forward to reviewing the EOB when it arrives. So disappointed.. what an absolute farce. It's very unsettling when you try to offer feedback about patient experience, and the doctor takes offense to it or completely denies that there may be a problem. Ignoring feedback has never been proven to improve anything. When people can't be heard, they will share with others their experience."
"Just left from my office's visit with Dr. Miguel Brilliantes, the best doctor one can ask for it and the staff is also very kind too. If I could I would give 10 stars."
"One of the best doctors. Very experienced, nice, and patience. Answered my questions and concerns with details, scheduled needed exams and leave me with no worries. I know I am in good hand. Highly recommended!"
"I have been seeing Dr. Brillantes since 2000. For 20 years I have seen him for regular check-ups to sick visits. Full evaluation and necessary tests are done before he will put you on any type of medication to rule out if medication is absolutely needed."
"I have been ill from exposure to toxic mold for over 25 years. Doctors could not figure out what was wrong, so they just make things up. I complained of the typical symptoms from these toxins. I also was dealing with candida yeast infections at the same time. I have to treat myself, because doctors prove useless often. I get a rash on my sinus from breathing in the mold. He gave me some sort of steroid cream for it. I belive it is a very bad idea to use steroids on fungal infections. I get ingrown hairs, and skin problems from it. This is the only thing they would treat. They ignored anything they could not physically see. My hormones are all out of control. As usual, I figured it out myself. I have to tell them to test me, and what to do. He sent me to a dermatologist for the lumps on my skin with pilar cysts with ingrown hairs. They always treat me like I am crazy, so I brought pictures of the huge cysts that I have to cut out of my skin. They all contain a fine hair in them, that is clear almost. This is caused by DHT sensitivity on the hair follicle. I have a genius IQ, and have been researching for years to fix what doctors fail at. I know what is wrong before I even go to them as a last resort. The dermatologist went to google my symptoms after being shocked by the photo of a cyst. He diagnosed me with a psychological disorder called morgellon's syndrome. It is people who think parasites are crawling under their skin. I know exactly what it is. It is ingrown hairs, not parasites. He said "here is some cream for your skin that probably won't work, and your psychiatrist will help you with anti depressants. I went to get one to help me deal with the stress of doctors destroying my life. They say that I am perfectly sane, and that my doctors are dead wrong. The symptoms of mold toxicity are torture. I also am a veteran dealing with PTSD, and massive pain that my other doctor refuses to help adequately. Now that a dermatologist diagnosed me as delusional, my doctor doesn't take anything wrong with me serious. I had a severe allergic reaction to mold. My whole body swelled up. This happens periodically. I went to the doctor right when I got back from vacation where it happened. He just said "I think you will be OK". He didn't even take it serious at all. Nobody listens to a word I say. I get treated like a delusional liar. I am more intelligent than most people on the planet, but they treat me like an idiot. I am stuck on $514 per month social security, only because doctors refuse to help me at all. I am cutting cysts out of my skin, and destroying it with scars all this time that they ignore me. I feel like I have a flu that never goes away. I shattered my hip, and hurt my back. They refuse to give me the pain meds that every doctor for 20 years has given me as a standard. It is the weakest low dose pill available for my type of pain. They force me on a pill that does almost nothing. Every single review says it does not work. I was crushed in a car accident. I have been on gabapenton for 20 years for pain, and a mood disorder. I was on a waiting list for many months to get into a doctor for pysch meds. I am still waiting. He was kind enough to give me the meds while I waited. He then decided to just stop them with no warning. I started having seizures almost. I have epilepsy. I had another doctor say I was having withdrawals on top of the lowered seizure threshold. They gave me a fraction of my normal dose for a month before giving me half of it the next visit. These people literally give me less than what medical literature says to give an infant usually. As soon as I got masshealth, my care went out the window. My pain doctor wouldn't take it. He said that it takes over a year to get paid for a single visit. Now I have people who do not get paid enough to care."
