"I was recently told by a specialist that I might have a genetic condition that I needed to get a referral to so I can get genetic testing. I put in a request for the referral on the patient portal, including all of the insurance codes as well as a PDF of the visit summary with the surgeon who requested I get testing, and the nurse who responded disregarded my request entirely, asking what information I needed. So instead I called to ask to get it done over the phone, and rather than going through the steps to ensure everything was taken care of, the representative decided to use my time to dispute the exchange on the portal, not addressing the reason for my call. She then raised her voice at me after I had expressed the anxiety I was feeling regarding the genetic test, and then she dismissively repeated, “you have a great day now” over and over until I hung up on her. Completely unprofessional treatment by the office staff."
"I went today to Lifespan Primary Care in Newport RI because I've had a lingering sore throat for a couple of weeks. When I called for an yesterday for an appointment, I was asked first to do a home test for Covid and was given a tentative appointment to come in today at 10am. When I called the office later to let them know that I tested negative for Covid, I was told to keep today's 10am appointment. This morning I waited about 5 minutes in the waiting room before seeing Dr. Krupadev who could not have been nicer or more thorough. She offered to have me tested for strep throat and the flu with their rapid tests and she called me within an hour after I left the office with the results, testing negative. She instructed me to continue what I had been doing for myself, including staying hydrated, use Tylenol for sore throat and contact her if my symptoms worsened. I could not have been more satisfied with the receptionist, medical assistants or the physician today. I've been with this practice since its beginning, starting with Dr. William Levin over 35 years ago, who later merged with Lifespan Primary Care. I would recommend this group to anyone."
"I went to the emergency room with a possible stroke and or major back injury . The er gave me lidocaine patches, muscle relaxers, and 800 mg ibuprofen and told me to see my dr. When I was in the office dr Philip couldn’t find the paper work from hospital so he had no idea they gave me these things. I hadn’t slept in 8 days and asked for pain medicine, I also asked for antibiotics for a sinus infection I had. I had to argue for the antibiotics and other than that my dr offered no relief or real care for my well being, his words were let’s start here. I’m in pain, I’m 42 with no prior drug issues. This guy honestly hasn’t done a thing for me scince I’ve seen him other than refill prior prescriptions. He always denies me the medicine I need and the emergency room always provides it. Why do I have a dr if I have to bypass and go to er? Dr Phillip is no helper at all!!!!!!!!!update!!!!! I have now been diagnosed with cancer of the larynx. My doctor has ignored my cries for help and in July my white blood cell count was seriously in danger. My doctor never told me and now I’m bed ridden sick. They said he told me thru the patient portal and that never happened."
"I used to love this practice my kids would see Jana and She knew each of my kids very well and always was very warm and welcoming… I had to switch providers to Olivia Maxwell and her staff, and ever since then it’s been terrible!!!! I agree with the previous post that said that all her and her staff want you to do us go to the hospital or an urgent care clinic so why do we even have you as a DOCTOR if you refuse to see or treat my kids. Her staff and nurse that calls you back if they call you back are dismissive and rude with a NOT my problem attitude. A basic strep test or basic antibiotics to help treat the possible strep for a kid suffering with strep symptoms after being exposed to a sibling who is positive for strep is out of the question. This practice need to shut down if they are going to use covid as an excuse not to treat or care for their patients. It’s honestly sickening the lack of disregard they have had for my families health."
"I have been a patient at this practice for over 7 years and have always been treated with the utmost respect and caring professionalism. Time is taken with every visit to address my concerns. I have never felt rushed and online support has been exemplary. I would recommend this office to anyone who is looking for excellent care."
