"Someone named Liz called to tell me that my mother needed me to go to her car to get paperwork and bring it to her in the ER. Seems like an odd thing to call and say right? I ask this woman what was going and she says she can’t tell me but was asked to have me go to my moms car to get paperwork. Apparently my mom’s car was left at the office when she was taken to the ER. I tell Liz I don’t speak to my mom much so can she tell me is going on and maybe give me more information because to be honest the call sounded like some weird hoax. Liz tells me maybe I should call my mom and amend things with her since it sounds like I need to. I was shocked she said something like that to me. I told her she had no right saying something like that to me and was hoping maybe she would reflect and realize that was an inappropriate thing to say to someone especially when you work in the medical field. Liz didn’t care at all. I asked to speak to her manager and she said there wasn’t one there and also wouldn’t provide the name of one. Then she kept talking over me and saying “Do you want me to remove you as your mother’s emergency contact?” She wouldnt respond to anything I would say she would just repeat that over and over. Who acts like that? First of all you can’t do that Liz and second of all just act in a professional manner when you call someone and tell them their mom is in the ER and then don’t give any information that makes sense after than and then make rude comments. The whole call was confusing and in the end very upsetting. I called and have been waiting for a response from upper management at that office but no surprise there has been zero response."
