Emergency Center - LMC Peabody

"Recently brought my dad to Lahey Peabody ER and was seen promptly. All the staff we interacted with were very pleasant. Dad was admitted to inpatient for a few days and had the best care and attention. Shout out to nurse Ellie, Holly, Brenda, Susan our case manager, and Dr Mukherjee. They made us feel comforted and reassured given the circumstances, and provided guidance. I couldn't have asked for a better healthcare team."

"I've been to many Emergency Departments in my years, but none as bad as this one. I was told to come here immediately by the urget care I was at prior to get a few immediate tests done that were important to ensure my kidneys were functional. I arrived and they were empty, not a sound besides the one other patient was there. They brought me out back and got me into a gown as though they were going to do an exam or testing and then only took a urine sample even though I told them I just did one less than 30 minutes ago. Then they brought the "Doctor" in. The man was dressed in plain clothes and behaved as though he'd never interacted with a woman before and made strange false claims in my chart. He was wringing his hands nervously then told me "w-well I'm just beating around the bush right now.." after stuttering for 20 seconds before telling me he thinks I just need to go see a gynecologist without doing ANY TESTING to see if my kidneys were still functional because I was barely producing urine. I went to another emergency room immediately after and they read me his report which was very literally full of lies. They found out something was ACTUALLY wrong with me."

"The most uncaring and worst experience of my life. Not only were all the staff extremely rude but so was the receptionist, miserable and unkind. I was refused an Iv with fluids along with blood work even tho I hadn’t eaten or been able to keep liquids down in over a week. i was told “this is not concerning”. I was also told having a fever for more than 6 days was fine. They told me I had a viral cold and nothing they could do sent me home still dehydrated. My symptoms got worse i went to another hospital where they did blood work showing I have a bacterial infection , needed antibiotics for my cough, and fluids. Not only was i yelled at by the doctor but the nurse as well. Never will i ever step foot back into that place and i don’t recommend anyone else does either."

"I can’t believe I had to wait for 4 hours and not yet being seen and left without being seen my baby needs me at the house. Very bad service. Also, nurse told me 1 doctor is seeing 50 patients, like are you serious just close the ER then if you can’t hire more doctors. Also, one of the nurse was very rude before night shift. Who ever is responsible for this lahey they need to check how many staff and doctors needed for night shifts and their degrees as well. *CEO needs to take action*"

"I took my mother to the ER last week because she was suffering from a chronic condition (edema) that escalated to difficulty breathing. The woman ER doc kept insisting that we should have gone to primary care Dr. She would not accept that primary care NP had advised ER visit. She did agree to run some tests. We were there for seven hours. She changed shifts without even checking in with us and saying I’m handing you off to somebody else. There was no regard for my mother’s well-being. I wish I had taken the name of the doctor, because I was stunned at her aloofness and refusal to engage with us."
