"Dr. Murgia and his colleagues may have saved my life by identifying melanoma in an early stage on my very first visit. They were able to remove it before it had spread to another organ/gland. They now monitor me very closely and I have been skin cancer free for over a year and a half. I had read reviews online, prior to choosing this practice, criticizing the office staff but I have to say that the office staff have been nothing but polite and helpful to me since day one."

"From entry to exit, the staff at DSH is friendly, efficient, and make me feel like they care about my dermatological needs. The receptionist is outgoing and remembers me from visit to visit. The assistants who take me back to the exam room and update my information listen to my details and make me feel comfortable. My doctor is Dr. Mergia, and he is excellent! He has solved the issues with my scalp, and answers my litany of questions - and I always have a lot! I feel lucky to have found this dermatology practice. Shout-out to Ms. Julie who can always find room for me on the appointment schedule!"

"Worst communications experience ever. After being advised my message of a need to reschedule due to DSH person relocating, I attempted to call to reschedule. Have experienced an extended ( fifteen minutes and longer ) "your call is very important to us" hold message every time, without ever having a person come on the line."

"I have a skin issue that I need to be seen for treatment and have it checked out to make sure that it is not cancerous. The skin condition seems to be getting worse. I got denied treatment until my bill was paid 100%. If you HAVE an outstanding bill then you CAN NOT be seen until the BALANCE is $ 0. I was paying what I could afford. I was told as long as I have a outstanding bill and not on a payment plan I can not get treatment. After talking to Marlene the office manager there was no positive or end result. Make sure that you save your money before each appointment it pay in full or you will get turned away like I was with a skin condition that is extremely painful."

"Initially, I had a great experience setting up and going to my first skin check appointment. Scheduling an appointment through the website was easy and I had no issues. It took a little over 2 weeks to receive the results from my biopsies. Once I heard back about my results, I was told I would receive a call back to schedule the additional surgery I would need. It has been 2 weeks since I had my results, and I still haven't heard back about the next step. I attempted to call but was on hold for over half an hour, so I just hung up. I attempted to request an appointment through the patient portal, but I was unable due to errors I was getting. I then attempted to request an appointment the same way I had initially requested one. It has been a few days and I still have not heard back from that request. I am extremely frustrated in the lack of communication and being left in the dark; so much so that I am going to continue my care with another practice. I am giving this review 2 stars for the simple fact that the NP I saw (Chrissy Horrigan) was really great! She took her time to do my skin check, answered any questions I had, and did a great job with the removal of my moles for biopsy. I had no pain or complications during, or after, the procedure."
