"As a former patient of Dr. Hackett for my children and myself for the past 17 years, I would honestly say he is one of the worst and most lazy, incompetent doctors there is. I should have changed to another doctor years ago, however, I remember until 5 years ago, when he switched from Newton/ Wellesley Hospital how good he was. Four years ago, I had an injury from a friend's motorcycle and I went to Urgent care the night it happened. The next day when I went to his office, apparently he and his staff had already been informed about it, and all thought it was so funny. I ended up having a torn disk, and a fractured spine. I didn't know the results until 8 weeks later after I had an MRI, and he got the results, posted them and signed off on them without ever contacting me. I had to call and insist on him informing me of what I needed to do to get help. There have been several occasions when he has asked both my daughter and me how to spell the names of the prescriptions he is prescribing for us. I finally decided I was done with his ignorance and got a great new doctor. However, now Dr. Hackett and Caroline seem to be taking it out on my daughter and giving her such a lack of care. She has been waiting for over a week now for her inhaler refill to get approved by their office. Additionally, she is now finding several examples of false notes on her health portal about illnesses and conditions that she has never been diagnosed with and does not have. I am very disappointed by the lack of consideration Dr. Hackett and his office have given to my family."
