"The residents pay a lot of money for hoa ( 700+) and that doesn't include ANY yard care (the land is park owned property, yet they will be quick to tell you to clean up their yard and tell you it's your responsibility to do it!) They really take advantage of the elderly! Spring notices just went out that if yards are not cleaned they will give out fines (keep in mind NO resident owns the land, it belongs to crooked Legacy). For the big HOA they do nothing to maintain it and leave it completely up to elderly residents that 90% are physically unable. I mean, isnt that what paying HOA fees is for - maintenance as well as property tax and utility. Save your money and go buy somewhere else. The Legacy owners are out for your wallet and nothing else. They bought the park to make a profit from seniors and boy are they ever. To threaten old people with fines if they don't rake...bogus! Just rotten. There are no cameras in the park to keep them safe. They put gigantic speed bumps on the main roads and all that does is slow lifesaving first responders down when trying to get thru the park. The mailbox area is not secure and should have cameras and more light for safety! *** Update to this*** Since I first posted they put in cameras at the mailboxes! They should still have cameras through the park and they don't. It is not quiet because some residents have backyard events for grandkids every single weekend with bounce houses and pools and kids screaming outside all day when it's supposed to be a 55+ quiet community. It's crazy how they decide what is allowed and what isn't. Oh and in winter it's the last place to be plowed. John Shannon was great. The new owners are rotten. It's all money."
"I've lived here for over 4 years now and like it better every day. It's a great place to live and play AND we have a real castle! Sandcastle Mobile Home Park is a wonderful place to spend your retirement years."
"Such a great place to live due to the peace and friendly people here. There are so many activities to do also. Moving to Sandcastle has been one of the best decisions I ever made!I never want to move again."
"I have a friend and her mother who live there. I would definitely stay away from this place. The monthly fee to live there keeps going up and will continue to go up past $1,000. I do not understand what the fee is for. The only service available is trash pickup. Although there is a club house, there are no fun activities for the people who live there as far as I can determine except for the swimming pool. The whole area will make you feel depressed with a shoddy looking club house and hundreds of prefab houses that all look alike. In order to get your mail, you have to walk to the clubhouse. If you order something on the internet, it does not come directly to your home. You have to pick it up at he post office. My advice: Do not buy a home in this dreary complex. You will regret it."
"Love living here! Been here 5 years. The community is quiet and friendly."
