"I have been a member of this church for many years now. My parents brought me up in, I brought up my kids there and now my grandchildren are going. Leanne Walt, our minister is amazing. She is kind, smart, and exudes light and love. Bob our youth minister is awesome, funny and has a GREAT singing voice. You can tell the kids always have a good time with him and he's great at getting them involved. Jenny Healy heads the Children's Ministry and in all my years going there I can say...honestly...i can't say, because there are no words that can adequately convey how extraordinary this woman is. Her "being" just draws the children to her and she is so good with them. She cares about each child and really listens to them. She's also great with the parents! The Church has many areas to be involved in. They help so many people around the world and in our communities. Our church is open and affirming, which means we welcome all peoples regardless of sexual orientation, gender, faith background, marital status, physical or metal ability. I remember telling a friend once that you could of been born a female and later decided to be a male, and as an agnostic you worshipped the tree out front, but then turned atheist....you would still be welcome and welcomed with open arms. This church is one of the very few places that I can walk into at any time and immediately feel the peace of being home."
"I have been a part of this church since high school when I joined the youth group. I was pulled in by the messages of inclusivity, community engagement, and love; all reinforced by the word of the Bible. Now as an adult my children attend church school and are learning those same values. The sermons are poignant and relevant, reflecting on social justice, mental health, and self actualization. UCC Norwell is a supportive community open to all."
"I brought my family here for a concert by a friend. The atmosphere is welcoming of all! The members and Reverend that we met were all very kind and caring. I will definitely return!"
"UCC Norwell isn’t just a church, it is a church home. It is a community where regardless of what stage you are in life or where you are on your faith journey you will be welcomed. My children love all the activities for kids and my wife and I love the pastor and church leadership. If you are looking to deepen your relationship with Christ, UCC Norwell really is fantastic."
"Went for the Christmas musical show. Was made to feel unwelcome immediately. A volunteer rudely scolded (raised voice even) my twelve year old daughter as she reached for a single grape from the "complimentary snack spread." We left before the show started after being told she needed to go to the downstairs bathroom."
