"This place is super cute, unique and quaint, with ample seating and good service. We had to wait a little bit but for the atmosphere it was worth it. Service was attentive. I did have to leave a 4 stars instead of 5 because unfortunately I wasn't very happy at all with my meal. I ordered the creme brulee French toast and it looked more like a crusted sponge. The top wasn't too bad but the bottom was completely soggy and tasted like it was cooked in sausage grease. It wasn't very much like French toast at all, and I left very hungry and unsatisfied as I could only take a few bites. That said, I tried my companions Queen Ann's French toast and it was very good. I came here about 15 years ago with my father and I had a very good meal and I'm willing to give it another shot and try a different menu item."
"This was our second visit, after our first we new we had to come back for more. The cornbread was a major contributor to that decision. The food tasted amazing both times. The only criticism I have of this experience; - Some cream cheese with the smoke salmon would be a plus (I’m sure they would add it if asked) - We we’re told the avocado lox would come with potatoes as well/home fries but it didn’t"
"I've eaten there three times and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The food is delicious and plentiful, the people are wonderful and the atmosphere is great! I had eaten there twice with my late uncle, so I raised a mug in his memory to him on this last visit. Looking forward to returning soon!"
"I grew up in Norwell and used to come here with my sisters and Mum all the time. I remember getting dressed up and making it a special occasion. I believe the 1st time we went was in 1978. I had the privilege with my daughter who is now 19 taking me here for breakfast today. Not only was it nostalgic as it reminded me of special childhood memories with my sister who has passed but I now am creating memories with my daughter. To the food, AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS, is an understatement. I had the eggs benny. The eggs perfectly poached, hollandaise sauce was light and delicate and not overpowering or too thick. The red bliss home fries were crispy and well seasoned. My daughter had the waffle; light and fluffy, and the fresh fruit and whipped cream were great. There was a side of sweet whipped sour cream that put it over the top. We shared a side of the corn bread and that is a must for anyone to order that walks through the door. The new owner,Marko Fani, has kept the ambiance the same as I remember it 45 years ago and the food is top notch. With so much gratitude to the front of house staff to the kitchen staff for bringing back fond memories and creating new ones. Don't change a thing!!! We will be back."
"I have say one thing about this place it felt like I was walking into my grandparents' house. It had that feeling from the tables to the chairs. My sever was the best she gave me a history of the place and how some of the workers have been there for thirty years. I started with the grilled corn bread. The exterior had a light crunch to it. Once I put the jam on the cornbread, it was like a party in my mouth. And you can purchase the cornbread and take it home.. I had the best Belgium waffle it was light fluffy and moist, so moist all I needed was the fork to break up the waffle. The waffle was topped with whipped cream and strawberry. The chicken sausage was very good, along with scramble eggs. This place has plenty of seating inside and has outdoor seating if you like to eat outside."
