"After reading the reviews I wanted to state what "rules" I have found to be true with Blue Moon Storage. They pro-rate going in with a $25 deposit, all payments are due on the 1st of the month, and a late fee of $10 is added on at closing time on the 5th of the month, and your unit is locked until payment is received on the evening of the 6th, and another late fee of $15 is added on the close of business on the 20th on the month, once payment is received they will unlock the unit within 24-48, however usually it is the same day or by the next morning, (depending if they have already checked units). They also offer insurance at a very low cost to help with unexpected issues that may arise. Once you move out of your unit, and you leave it the way you found it (clean of all items and swept out) and you owe nothing you get your $25 deposit back (in cash, I might add) also if you can not get out by the 1st-5th, you can get your stuff without paying you just lose your deposit. Unfortunately, it seems only people that do not get their way or follow the guidelines are leaving bad reviews."
"They never gave me back my money or prorated me when I moved out a little over two weeks for the month of August. They Locke fmy husband and kids in the gate did NO drive thru to make sure noone was in there. they do NOT answer there emergency contact number so my husband had to find a way out thank God he did. I will not ever recommend these people and I will never be back to hi company. I moved my things and gave other people my business!"
"First off I rented the unit on 6-22-17 and I told them I only needed the unit for 2-3 weeks they said that was fine and rented the unit to me for $57 and stated that if the rental went over a month they would automatically draft another months rent out of my account ( they clim I denied the auto draft) So on 7-11-17 19 days later myself and the moving company (my buddies) went to get all my stuff out of the unit and the management had placed one of their locks on my door!! I called them and they said that payment was due on the first of every month and if I wanted my stuff I would have to pay for the month of July. Then he told me that he was the only one in the office today so he didn't kno when he could get his lock off....... Then I called later to see if he found someone he said someone would be there asap. Later that day I called again and his mother answered the phone and began to call me names and get very rude so I told her that if someone did not show up in the next 30 minutes I was going to cut the lock and get my stuff...... About 20 minutes later, and may I remind you this whole time I have multiple trucks with trailers and numerous men who had taken off work to help me move into my new home sitting there waiting while they take there time getting someone out there to take the lock off. The owner finally showed up and took the lock off. He was very polite I'll give him that but those idiots running the office for him are dumb as bricks and have no idea what customer service is! So here's the bottom line Blue Moon Storage requires you to pay on the first of the month period! So if you rent it on the 31st and take it all out on the 1st of the next month you have to pay 2 months storage! I occupied that unit for 19 days and paid a total of $126 two months storage. Customer service sucks! The owner need new people in the office"
"We had our unit leak 2 times. We were told the first time it was fixed. We had 3 units in all and 2 out of the 3 leaked. When we let them know they didn't act too concerned. They just asked if we had insurance. It ruined so much of our stuff. Some of it can't be replaced no matter how much insurance we have. If you have a unit there I would recommend moving it to another storage company. If you are looking for somewhere to store your stuff I would recommend going somewhere else."
