"The history behind this spot is remarkable! After this blast furnace failed, they built one in Saugus, MA. Check out the National Park site for Saugus Iron Works to learn more. There is not much here other than the marker and stone remains, but I’m glad for at least that. Now I know why the road is called “Furnace Brook Parkway” in Quincy!"
