Our commitment to preserving urban nature extends to the care of approximately 125,000 trees, including more than 35,000 street trees, ensuring our city's landscape remains lush and vibrant.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings are now held online, ensuring the safety and convenience of our community. We also manage three active cemeteries and 16 historic burying grounds, preserving Boston's rich history and heritage.
