Nestled in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, Decatur and Meridian Streets Park is your perfect urban oasis. Located on Decatur Street in the vibrant neighborhood of East Boston, this park is part of the city's extensive network of green spaces, managed by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department. Our mission is to create and maintain clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces across more than 2,300 acres of parkland throughout the city.

Decatur and Meridian Streets Park is one of the 217 city parks that we nurture, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you're looking to unwind with a leisurely stroll, enjoy a family picnic, or simply soak in the natural beauty, this park provides the perfect backdrop.

Our department is proud to be responsible for an impressive array of recreational facilities across Boston, including playgrounds, athletic fields, golf courses, game courts, and historic sites. We also care for approximately 125,000 trees, contributing to the lush urban landscape.

This summer, we invite you to explore the Boston Parks and Recreation Department's exciting schedule of free events and activities for all ages. Enjoy family favorite movies under the stars in neighborhood parks or groove to the rhythms of the Tito Puente Latin Music Series, returning this July and August.

For those seeking unique experiences, don't miss the Alianza traveling beer garden, a collaboration between Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation, bringing refreshing drinks and delicious food to our parks.
