Reviews
"Resurrection Church is a warm, welcoming, and diverse community in East Boston. The people are kind and supportive, and it's easy to get connected if you are looking for a community. It is a neighborhood-oriented church, so they partner with several East Boston organizations to serve the neighborhood in meaningful ways. The services are simple and approachable, whether you are a Christian or not. It is a safe place to come as you are."
"For the first five years that I lived in East Boston, I wished there was a local church that cared about practically investing in the neighborhood. When Resurrection Church showed up in 2019, I leapt to get involved, and was not disappointed. The community is quality, the values are beautiful and theologically sound, and the Sunday worship service is thoughtful and real. What a blessing to have been part of this group for my final two years living in the area. If you want a safe space to get to know God and make an impact in your community all while making solid friends, please check out Resurrection Church."
"I began attending Resurrection Church in 2020, particularly during a time when the church was exclusively meeting on Zoom due to the pandemic. It's a high testament to the community of this church that I felt welcomed, included, and desired even on such a medium as Zoom! Over time, I began to meet people in-person and this sense was confirmed, particularly through small groups and events, usually over shared food. In addition, I have appreciated the pastors, the preaching, and the approach to church, to justice, and to the neighborhood. I think Resurrection's vision states it best: "life with God in community for the neighborhood." I'm grateful to be a part of this community!"
"I'm so happy that I was able to find Resurrection Church here in East Boston after moving here a few years ago. They are relatively new (started right before the pandemic, back in 2019) but are really dedicated to being a local community of Christians and serving the East Boston community. The pastors Justin Ruddy and Kaitlin "Kata" Givens are attentive, encouraging, and intelligent spiritual leaders. I'd recommend anyone to check out this church!"
"As an East Boston resident for 5 years now, and having attended several different churches in Boston, I was overjoyed to learn that Resurrection Church was opening in my neighborhood. Have been attending and serving for 2 years now and God is really moving in this church. Justin and Kaitlin do a fantastic job preaching, leading, and shepherding, and am always leaving with something new to think about. The community is thoughtful and compassionate. The church is thankfully about to start meeting at our wonderful Central Assembly church building again regularly starting in September. Tons of opportunities here to serve the neighborhood and get involved as well. Highly recommend checking it out."
