Welcome to Columbus Park: Outdoor Track, a vibrant and essential part of Boston's extensive park system, located in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, at 02125. Our mission is to create and maintain clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces across more than 2,300 acres of parkland throughout the city. As part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, we are proud to oversee 217 city parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and so much more.

Columbus Park is your local gateway to outdoor fun, offering a well-maintained track perfect for walking, jogging, or running, set amidst the natural beauty of Boston. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll, our outdoor track provides a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Our department is dedicated to enriching the community with a variety of events and activities. Enjoy free family-friendly movies in neighborhood parks, or immerse yourself in the vibrant sounds of the Tito Puente Latin Music Series, returning to Boston parks in July and August. For a unique experience, visit Alianza, a traveling beer garden brought to you by Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation, in partnership with the City of Boston.

As part of our commitment to the environment, we manage approximately 125,000 trees, including more than 35,000 street trees, and are responsible for the historic Emerald Necklace's 1,000 acres. Our efforts also extend to managing three active cemeteries and 16 historic burying grounds in Boston.

Please note, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings are currently held online. For those interested in removing a healthy tree, a public hearing is required.
