"Wow this is a beautiful church. Its architecture is gorgeous, its ceiling is massive and domed, and the art work is incredible. This is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen."
"This is an absolute must stop in Boston. As the oldest Catholic church in the North End, St. Leonard offers a glimpse of history in the town. With a beautiful garden in the front and impressive religious art inside, it sure will captivate the attention of every visitor. Such a beautiful gem in the city of Boston."
"This church is located in what appears to be little Italy. It's near the Freedom Trails North Church. As the sign reads... it is one of the oldest Roman Catholic Churches in America founded by Italian Immigrants. It is small and elegantly ornate. St. Leonard reads as one of the first recognized Saints of the faith. He is patron to women in labor, the release of prisoners, farmers etc. The church is small and elegantly ornate. A donation will allow you to light a candle for a loved one. It was quiet and serene."
"My first time visiting, and I’m glad I did. I noticed it while walking and never seen a church with a gift shop so I wanted to see what the gift shop had to offer. The lady working there has to be one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met. Even though she was about to close, she did not rush the guests and even took the time to speak to everyone as they were cashing out. I wish I would have gotten her name because she was so precious. I hope she sees this review and knows she had left a great impression on me! She told me to go inside the church because it’s so beautiful. It literally took my breath away. I came during December, and in the back of the church, there was decor up for the holidays. It was a nice touch, and the artwork throughout the church blew me away. It made me appreciate all the hard work the community had put in order to keep the church running. It truly is a beautiful church to visit."
"Located in Boston's historic North End, St. Leonard's Church is a beautiful cathedral that is 100% worth a stop. Peaceful and quiet, you can come to St. Leonard's to contemplate and pray or just sit down and escape the busyness of Boston for a bit. The cathedral is genuinely gorgeous. If I remember correctly, it was the first church built by the Italian immigrants of Boston and is among the oldest Italian churches in the country. Do yourself a favor and stop by!"
