As part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, we are dedicated to creating and maintaining clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces across the city's expansive 2,300 acres of parkland. Our commitment extends to 217 city parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and much more, including the historic Emerald Necklace.

This summer, don't miss the Boston Parks and Recreation Department's lineup of free family-favorite movies in neighborhood parks, and the exciting six-concert Tito Puente Latin Music Series in July and August. For those looking to enjoy a refreshing beverage, the Alianza traveling beer garden, a unique collaboration between Roundhead Brewing Company and Fresh Food Generation, will be making its rounds in the city.
